I'm on the fence about the 75043 AT-AP. The price hasn't gone up too much so I was thinking about getting it. What do you all think of the set?

I really like it! Very stable. Can seat 3 minifigs.

The best of the walkers. Get it.

I bought the ucs AT-AT instructions and started sorting through/inventory my spare parts. I have probably 1/4 of the items needed. Any advice for a first time guy on how best manage the build. I use brick link. Never tried the others.

Can actually seat 5 quite happily with almost no modification.

It's a great set, I have 2. One of the sets I have modified the least.

@Forresto: Short legs are obvious. What i need to know is if there is a Wookiee head/chest piece without a bandolier?

Rebel wookie don't have them.

Ahhh, you're right. I'm getting the Wookiee Gunship for my birthday, so I'll buy an extra generic Wookiee figure from that set and some short brown legs.

Guys I dont know if I should buy the Sith Fury Class Interceptor... I love the design, minifigs are great and all... but its soo freakin expensive for what you get (relatively small sized in scale).

Retail price here in germany is 100 Euros and as of now I could get it for 94. I guess its nice that you can still get it for a "normal" price more than 3 years after Release, but that normal price feels so over the top...

I am really torn about this, so please say something to either foritify my wish to buy it or diminish it so I can feel better not doing it

Do you like Old Republic era stuff? Do you like the figures? Do you like the ship design? Is that reasonable price to pay for it?

If it yes and buying won't cause you any hardship, go for it. The Darth Malgus mini figure is at least worth $50 on brick link which is probably a third of the price. I've never owned the set so maybe someone who does could give you better advice but it's a cool looking ship.

Pretty sure there's a microfighter coming up with a wookie sans bandolier...

I bought it hot off the press, I liked it, it seemed expensive for what it was, and only has 3 minifigs but Malgus is pretty darn good. I think it's a nicer looking ship than the black/grey TIEs & similar, and I like those. It's not canon, so you'll never see it again. It's a "bite the bullet, take the beating" situation as far as price is concerned. See if you can find it second hand, perhaps.

The wookiee gunship microfighter (I have it - I think it's March release for USA) is an option, but if he's going to BL short legs he may as well do the same for the wookiee as it would be cheaper than buying the microfighter.

I think it would look weird with short legs though.

I'm trying to decide between two UCS sets, 10240 X Wing, or the 75095 TIE Fighter, which one do people think is better?

Which ship do you prefer more? Tie or X-Wing?

I can get two Wookiee Gunship microfighters when they come out. Plus, I have a LEGO store nearby, so I can check the minifigure building kiosk for short brown legs.

So um... That may not look just right.

Tough call

I got mine last year used for ā‚¬45, and i am VERY happy with it (especially after learning Darth Malgus alone is worth that much), it is a very cool set

But for ā‚¬100... i dont know man, i mean it is a good sized set and all, but you can get 75094 for the same money, and i think that is a much better set over all (despite not owning it yet)

Unless you REALLY want it, id pass it up at ā‚¬100, lego MSRP on SW sets is pretty high as it is, and piece/ā‚¬ is pretty bad on the set, and there are probably better buys out there. See if you can find a used one though, if you can get it below ā‚¬70, it becomes an entirely different question IMHO.

So um... That may not look just right.

Ahhhhh well unfrotunately I cant see any alternative unless someone has made a custom wookie which looks less weird.

Which ship do you prefer more? Tie or X-Wing?

I'd say I'm an X-Wing fan.

So um... That may not look just right.

Well, It's a short Chewbacca. Short Chewbacca doesn't look right. Try it with a Rebels Wookiee. And no matter if the short legs look wrong or right, that's really the only way to do a young Wookiee.

My Walmart had all the series 3 Microfighters. I got the X-Wing instead of getting one, or two, Wookiee Gunships. The good news is, the Wookiee minifig that comes with the Gunship Microfighter has no arm printing or bandolier. So, with short legs, it should work as a Kitwarr.

huzzah! You lucky devil. The stores near me never have sales on Lego anymore.
