kyphur Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Quick question regarding the black protocol droid from 10188, does it have a designation other than "protocol droid"? Quote
seahorsy Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I have decided to stop collecting City and Mondular and start collecting star wars so I am am going to buy some 7913's to try and start my clone army and sell the speeders on Ebay well has anyone got any tips before I start? Quote
Fuppylodders Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 If there are any discontinued sets you like, I'd get them now (ebay/bricklink etc)... they will only go up in price. Other than that, get whatever sets you enjoy the look/style of =D Quote
seahorsy Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Some sets are worth it I heard one set cost £120 and their was no figures?! and honestly it was not very good for the price but it is just when you buy what is that set called again? Quote
Drock Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Quick question regarding the black protocol droid from 10188, does it have a designation other than "protocol droid"? I've always thought it was supposed to be 5D6-RA-7, the droid that we see passing Han, Luke, and Chewbacca near the Death Star elevator. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/5D6-RA-7 Quote

Another Brick In The Wall Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 7191 is far larger than minifig scale, see this image from Rufus's review for one. The set uses the regular R2, but that's out of scale, to the ship and to minifgs too. 9492, like most starfighters, is approximately minifig scale, though I think it's slightly too big. Thanks for the correction. I was under the impression that anio's fantastic tie figher MOC was minifig scale, which is slight larger than 9492. Quote
seahorsy Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 What battle is the 7913 clone trooper battle pack in because I have bought 2 and I want some plants and scenery to go with it please reply thank you. Quote
Mr Man Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 What battle is the 7913 clone trooper battle pack in because I have bought 2 and I want some plants and scenery to go with it please reply thank you. Non really. The Bomb Disposal troopers where only seen on Naboo in the show, the Horn Company Trooper was from the episode Grievous Intrigue, and the ARF Trooper is from most of the CW. Quote

The head and body are completely different, theses are the "insectoid" protocol droid. It could also be an M-3PO unit... Another good possibility but... the M-3PO units have a different head unit. seahorsy Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Has anyone had a bad bomb squad helmet I just got one it has got a grey paint mark on the front getting a replacement helmet from Lego Quote

Another good possibility but... the M-3PO units have a different head unit. As far as I can tell, there are no named black protocol droids. The RA-7 did appear in a movie on the Death Star, so my guess is that TLG didn't want to make a new mold and simply recolored the existing 3PO-series minifig based on the RA-7. Quote
Cyberbricker Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Does anyone know were i could get more of the black pouldron and kama stuff. I agree they dont look that good, but still its better then what the new Cpt. Rex is coming with! Here is a picture of the item, i just need the black stuff. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Clone_Commander Quote
Vindicare Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) Got a question about the shirtless Maul TRU promo. I have 9496 Desert Skiff in the cart, do I need to add something else to my cart in order to qualify, seeing as the Skiff is $24.99... Or is the free Maul with $25 purchase include shipping? Also, does Maul show up in the cart? Or will it just ship with everything else. Edited November 7, 2012 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Another Brick In The Wall Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Is the UCS imperial shuttle 10212 officially retired by TLG ? Quote
Empire911 Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 When you join a community build, can you make one MOC only? Quote

It's still for sale at Shop@home. I give it until June next year... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 When you join a community build, can you make one MOC only? Ultimately, the decision is up to the host, but in all our recent builds on EB there's been no rule against multiple entries. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 What shall I do to make my clone army bigger? I'll move these posts to Show Your Army; you'll probably get better answers from army builders over there. Quote

Personally, I'd go with the Death Star. As the most expensive retail Lego Star Wars set, I might not always have the money to pick it up. Meanwhile most of the army-builder sets you're describing are easier to buy being that they're cheaper. If I had that kind of money to use on a Lego purchase, I would go big. As for army-builder sets, any of the battle packs are the best way to go - Hoth and Endor are still around. Quote
