Cartoonish Stormtrooper I guess, those horribly deformed clone trooper helmets of the CW show only meant to represent a cartoonish incarnation of the actual one. Quote
Mr Man Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Cartoonish Stormtrooper I guess, those horribly deformed clone trooper helmets of the CW show only meant to represent a cartoonish incarnation of the actual one. There is a full body shot of them somewhere (for the life of me I can't find them) from the unveiling, actual costumes were made, the differences in the full body look seem to be more than just a cartoon version of the standard armour. Tariq j Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 A question about the malevolence: At the nose of the interior of the ship where the chair is there are two green discs in front of it, what exactly is this meant to represent hyperdrive? Quote

I also first wondered, but it are its controls. If you will look at EP III you will see the same things in the invisible hand :) Quote
Tariq j Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 Thanks TWP, I'll look through ROTS and see if its there. Quote
caramelcata Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 In the republic attack frigate, there are two pieces in the set that look like small-ish bullets. At first I thought they were commando knives for Wolffe but I realised no one in the GAR carries knives. What are these magic little pieces? Quote
Cyberbricker Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I think you mean the ARC-Trooper stuff? I think they are supposed to resemble the headlights of the clone trooper helmets. Here is a link were you can see them: https://www.google.be/search?q=clone+trooper+headlight&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.52434380,d.bGE,pv.xjs.s.en_US.RJfod4swqLE.O&biw=1407&bih=704&dpr=1&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=nl&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=bl5AUoGMFrSo0wXX84HQDw Quote
caramelcata Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I figured they had something to do with the head. I was seriously thinking it was some sort of knife clones put on their heads. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Apart from the obvious UCS sets, are there any retired SW sets that are especially sought after? I know The Battle of Endor is pretty popular, but are there other sets that you wouldn't hesitate about picking up if you had the chance? Quote
Robert_88 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 (edited) The UCS Imperial Shuttle. I can only recommend it! Edit: Sorry, you wrote "apart from UCS sets" :) Do you mean sets that retired recently? Edited September 27, 2013 by Robert_88 Quote
Tariq j Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The battle of hoth (2011) was a good set, a nice range of minifigures and playability. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Do you mean sets that retired recently? Recently or years ago, doesn't really matter. BTW, the Imperial Shuttle is fantastic, already got two of those. Quote
deskp Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Will the Star wars rebels lego minifigure use an awful designs tyle like clone wars or the normal minifig style so that it fits with all the rest of legos minifigures? Quote
Fives Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Will the Star wars rebels lego minifigure use an awful designs tyle like clone wars or the normal minifig style so that it fits with all the rest of legos minifigures? I don't think that we've been given any images of what the human characters will look like in the show, so there is no confirmation on whether or not the show will look cartoony like TCW, or have a more realistic style. I'm hoping for a more realistic look, because I don't want any more bug eyed Star Wars figs, and it would be nice if the figs from this show fit in seamlessly with the film based figs. Quote

The tv show is sligthly more realistic than clone wars, but the fact that there is a change at all I hope makes lego rethink their design choises for clone wars. Quote

Lobot Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 The battle of hoth (2011) was a good set, a nice range of minifigures and playability. Do you mean Hoth Echo Base (7879) because that's truly awful...I got it at about 30% off and I still felt cheated!! It looks like it was designed by a 10 year old. The only redeeming bit was a couple of nice minifigures (2-1B and R-3PO). Cloud City's got to be one of the tops for a lot of people. I've always wanted to buy it, but the current cost is just too much for me to live with Quote

Yes, the special edition one, well the bed, bacta tank, and control screens were all good aspects of the set, and you got a Taunton as well but it was very crammed. Quote

JVM Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 How's the new Darth Maul headpiece fit on the classic Maul minifig head? I mean, I know it fits physically, but does it look okay? Quote
Cyberbricker Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Story of my life right there Jango Fett's slave I is pretty sought after, it's around $120 complete and over $250 NIB. I you really want it, order it in separate pieces from bricklink. I did it with the 10195 Dropship and saved allot of money. Of course check out the expensive parts first, and check if all bricks are available. Quote
kermit Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 When the new star wars episodes come out do you think that we wee will get sets for several years based on the new movies instead the original trilogy and the prequel sets? Quote
Darth Nader Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 When the new star wars episodes come out do you think that we wee will get sets for several years based on the new movies instead the original trilogy and the prequel sets? I would imagine lego would make a couple original and prequel trilogy sets throughout the next few years but also make a lot of the new trilogy. This wouldn't be too bad though considering we have been getting a lot of unnecessary redesigns over the years. So basically my prediction is about 80% new trilogy and 20% from previous trilogies.
