Nom Carver Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 I gave them all away, but kept one to remind me how ugly they were (I only had 8 anyway), the only worthy CW troopers (to me) were the ARC and 501st (not that much). Quote
wesker Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 With the release of 75000 and the remade EP I clones, I wondered what to do with my TCW clones, that is whether I should sell them or not. Pros of the new clones: non-TCW heads, new decent torso (much better than the TCW torso), nice commanders. Pro of the TCW-clones: cutest visor printing ever, more diversity (ARFS), individual commanders. My question is: what do you do with your TCW clones? Will you keep them or sell them, keep them seperate from your new clones or combine them? To you, is that an issue at all or do you think, "guy...it's just Lego you're talking about here!" I still keep all my TCW clones, but keep them and the sets they came in seperate from the AOTC ones. Their faces never bothered me as much as the other TCW characters since I never display a clone without their helmet. Quote

OBI-WAN37 Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Hi does anyone know any possible alternatives to the bubble turrets on the 2013 Republic Gunship? Quote
Saint Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 You mean that Butt-ugly thing ?? I've build one myself with some exoforce robothands and stuff... Don't have any pictures yet, but there a few good reverence's on the net. Grtz Saint Quote

Saint Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 I was reverring to the bubble canopy's First off all, there no bubbles on the wings : there remote controled, second, the bubbles with the gunners in them are way to big. My favorite of the LAAT series is the 7676, A little to big for my taste , and a little to fat, with some modding it's fine. The latest LAAT 75021 is a bit smaller and more to scale, but it feels a bit flimsy I used the 7676 as a base for some really heavy modding, And I'm still working on them . I ( sort off ) brickbuild the side turrets ( where the gunners sit ) and they allmost fit inside a bubble . Don't get me wrong, as a playset the bubbles are great ! As a model they're butt-ugly . Diamondback Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Sorry if I missed this, but... anyone have a US street date on Buildable Galaxy Series 4, and who all's getting what SW polybags when? I know Target got the Umbaran MHC for Halloween... Quote
Brickdoctor Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Sorry if I missed this, but... anyone have a US street date on Buildable Galaxy Series 4 Planets Series 4 is unfortunately not being released in the US; TLG said the demand was too low. Quote
kermit Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Planets Series 4 is unfortunately not being released in the US; TLG said the demand was too low. That is a major bummer. So I assume that the planet sets were more popular in Europe? Quote
Glinko Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I'm not sure how popular they are here in the UK, I have all of them but after a few months you can find them well reduced in the likes of Toys R Us and Argos. Never a big seller on UK eBay either. Maybe it's a continental thing.... Quote
Darth Dino Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Hi how do you differ regular (white) TCW clones from EP II and EP III clones? Is it just the head/face? Since i have the blue Lieutenant and the olive green one i want to have regular whites, but allways movie figures. Images that showing the differences are nice ;) Recommendig set where to get them in volumes is highly appreciated. Dino Quote
Commander_Rob Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 The Planet sets don't seem to sell all that well here in Germany either, still plenty on shelves in most places and frequently at cut prices, €9.99 instead of the usual €12.99 or so. One problem seems to be that in each wave, some sets seem to sell really well and some not at all (Bespin looks to have found very few buyers, for one) and stores are then left sitting with those when the more popular ones are sold out. Dino Aside from the anime faces, TCW clones have more stylized armour and the printing on the helmet isn't as detailed. The helmet is also missing the black band above the visor. Remus_Lupin Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I've had my eye on Jabba's Sail Barge to go with the excellent Dessert Skiff. However, I haven't been won over by 75020, especially at RRP. It seems, though, that I may have the opportunity to buy 6210 (without minifigures) for a very reasonable price, roughly 15% cheaper than the lowest priced incomplete set available on Bricklink. I do love the minifigs from 75020, they seem to be the one element that is superior to the original, so I'm thinking of trying to blend the two. So I could be looking at 6210 + minifigures from 75020 for about €25 less than 75020 at RRP. Is this a no-brainer? Quote
Only Sinner Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 That sounds great, I would totally do it! The 6210 is a fine model anyway, and in some ways, superior. The sails are better, the bow section is better, the deck gun- . I would maybe get an extra sticker sheet for the 75020 and brick link some more parts to MOD the 6210 just a little, like maybe with better rails and airfoils. I don't know about anyone else, but I would be very satisfied with a model like that! Quote
Remus_Lupin Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Thanks! I've never been much good at modding though Seeing the two side by side, 6210 seems a bit more substantial and I prefer the nose of the ship (I love the upside-down ship building technique). Quote
