DonBrizzel Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 You could do the scene where the xwing is taking off with the guy in the tower. Lots of trees would be needed. Quote
donbarca Posted January 18, 2014 Posted January 18, 2014 1 Hours worth of petrol or travel costs Anyhoos, I have a question. Is there anyone here that plays or know someone that plays SW:TOR online, and has access to the Sith Fury Class Interceptor ingame? 1hours worth of petrol will be 2hours i will also need to go home.. to me this is nothing contrary to waiting several days and risking damage to the delivered package! korpen4444 Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 What's the best way to get a lot of Geonosis sets for a diorama I plan to make? Is this a good list?: 10x Corucant planet sets(in addition to the two I have already) 10x CTs vs. Droidekas battle pack(in addition to the two I have already) 2x Homing Spider Droid(I learned a secret to make it better from JANG) 4x Tank Droid 1 Republic Gunship 1 AT-TE 1 Duel on Geonosis 1 Geonosian cannon Is this a good list? Should I make it bigger? Leave your thoughts please. Quote
Archer Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'd also suggest one of the geonosian speeders, that came with Ki-adi-Mundi, the set was clone wars, but it's one of the few that is totally film accurate as well, minus the figs. I just bought a sealed one off bricklink for all of $25 so they're still cheap Quote

Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 *snip* Is this a good list? Should I make it bigger? Leave your thoughts please. I would go for more of the Geonosian cannon since they were featured in Ep II. I really don't remember seeing the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid on Geonosis though. I would add Hailfire droids if you have any. Quote
Kelso Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 I'm going to buy a lot of bricks next week but i'm not sure what type to get for building MOC's. Should I buy 2x4 bricks or 2x6? per 100 its only about 1-2 euro's difference. Also light grey or dark grey for building a base, what would you pick ? Quote

I'm not the richest guy, so some of these might have to come from BL or Amazon(after they retire). I want the Tank droid for the figs, and a Kashyyyk MOC I want to make. I also don't have hailfires, I'll have to pick up a few sets off the Internet. I'm going to buy a lot of bricks next week but i'm not sure what type to get for building MOC's. By the way, I've revised the list(it was a bit much for me as I don't have a lot of space): Still in stores sets 20 Corucant Planet sets 1 Republic Gunship 1 AT-TE 1 Homing Spider Droid 2 Tank Droids 2 Geonosian Cannons 1 Duel on Geonosis Retired sets 2 Geonosian Fighters 2 Hailfire Droids Edited January 19, 2014 by korpen4444 Quote
donbarca Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 why the coruscant planet sets??? will it not be cheaper to bricklink the clone? are the pieces in the microbuild valuable enough to go buy them? Quote

I like the planet sets. Plus I can use the cruisers for micro scenes. And the peices are valuable. Cheese slopes and Lightsabers! Quote
Minnow Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Is the right place for set identification help? I recently picked up a lot of mostly SW stuff and while most of them are pretty easy, a few have me stumped. Is this a MOC or a set? http://imgur.com/ZFD9fJ8 This is the back end of a set? http://imgur.com/NyB9als Sorry for the potato quality. Any help is appreciated. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Yep, it's 7672 Rogue Shadow and 8019 Republic Attack Shuttle. Quote

The first is http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=7672-1 7672 The Rogue Shadow from the Force Unleashed Video Game. It came with 3 Minifigs. A battle damaged Darth Vader, Galen Malek and Juno Eclipse. RJDykes Posted January 19, 2014 Posted January 19, 2014 Hey guys. I'm wondering if I should order the old (but new and sealed) Slave I 8097 in the $120-150 range or if I'm better off waiting and hoping for a new release. I've heard the UCS Slave I rumors, and that would be an instant purchase for me, but I'm not sure if I want to keep waiting for something that I'm not certain will come. The way I see it, a wave with a healthy amount of OT like Summer 2014 will be followed by a wave that favours PT/EU. As Episode VII gets closer to release, I imagine that the year before will be full of its sets while OT/PT stuff is put aside. Also, if they have plans to put out a new version of Jango's Slave I, I don't think they would release Boba's any time too close. So what do you think? Will we get to see another minifig scale Slave I or should I go ahead and buy what I missed out on? Quote

korpen4444 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 When will all the reviews of the 2013 sets be indexed? It's a pain having to go through several pages to get to one review. Quote

Only staff can do that, so why not ask in the talk to the SW Moderator topic? Brickdoctor is vigilant so he may see your post before you ask it in there anyway, but if not... Quote

Brickdoctor Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I was under the impression that they were indexed; Piranha's been taking care of that. I can ask. You can use the search function, by the way, instead of reading each page of topics. Quote

donbarca Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 i am only one year into collecting SW lego and last year i did not care for may the 4th since i did not know much about it. however this year i am seriously thinking of buying the Ewok village. so the question is does the Lego store usually have discounts like 10-15% off or are there usually just some specific sets with an offer or how does it go? Typically lego does have some sales on May the fourth, last year for example the b-wing was 50% off, but the reason was only because it wasn't selling well. With normal sets they often have a 15% off deal, and I'm pretty sure this goes for UCS sets too. So your chances off getting the Ewok Village on sale on may the 4th are pretty high. Quote
