Does anyone else have a problem with the front opening panels being loose on the Sandcrawler? Is there a way to fix this?

I've read a couple places that if you turn the knob to close the door one way, it only closes loosely, but if you turn the knob the other way that it closes nice and tight.

The only issue I've had with the Sandcrawler is that turning that knob is very difficult and rips my fingertips apart while making quite the clicking sound. Don't know if that's the way it's supposed to be, or if I just built it somewhat off.

That wasn't what I wasn't talking about, but I fixed it anyway. The two front opening panels on the Sandcrawler (the two on each side behind where it starts to slope inward), were really loose when pushed in. I just pulled the pins that allow it to open, and closed it that way. That fixed it.

Can the LEGO Star Wars 7965 - Millennium Falcon fit in a Detolf Cabinet?

How deep is the Detolf? I've got mine in one of the 15" deep Billy Bookcases with glass doors and it fits just perfectly.

They aren't getting deleted, they are just getting merged with this topic. Most of your posts have been questions, which are supposed to go here in the first place

thank you vassal much appritiated :)

Brick link is your best option. You can choose what parts you need and the figs and buy them from sellers that carry them. They also have sets if you ever need that.

the problem with brick link is not many sellers have more than one part im after so i gotta go threw all dif sellers to get the parts and it would work out expensive i have tried to find one of them on there that has most or all the parts i need but i aint found one with more than two parts i need and i dont mind but when im pay 2 or 4p a part than i gotta pay like £1 postage on each piece you now what i mean

Darth Reaper, Put all the parts you're after on a wish list at BrickLink. You can then sort stores by which have the most parts you need. This will typically save you $$$ in the long run by minimizing shipping charges.

I know it's similar to my previous question but since I'm still not sure whether it will fit my Detolf Cabinet or not.

Can someone give me the measurements of the Falcon (especially the lenght of the ship).

Thanks in advance!

BrickSet has the dimensions: http://brickset.com/...llennium-Falcon

Thanks but those are the box dimensions. According to the Official website, these are the dimensions:

  • Measures over 15” (38cm) wide and 4” (10cm) tall

But I don't know if the 15"/38cm is the longest part of the ship or not.

I am soon going to the USA land of the free and home of the brave inexpensive Legos and I saved around 600$ from my under the table babysitting job to buy legos.

I can't decide between the Death Star and another 100-150$ set or 25 Kashyyyk Bp and 25 Utapau Bp ( I could get then for 10$ per BP)

What would you take or is there anything else that is a must buy?

Other information:

Space is not an issue and I play with my lego. I like PT the most because I grew up with Ep 2 and 3 ( That is where my clone addiction comes from) but I also love OT

Unless you can find a sale here in the USA, the battlepacks actually cost around $13 (not including tax). I would go for the Death Star, everyone seems to love that set.

Death Star does not look good as a display piece and figures are a little bit outdated in my opinion. Basicly it is just a dollhouse for star wars fans.

I was in the USA last year end during the month of august the BP were 10$ at Wal Mart. (That was for Florida and Virginia)

It looks like the price drops when the summer wave comes out.

Thanks you for your opinion

I will read some reviews and look at some pictures. Usually other people owning this set seem to like this set as a display piece.(Even calling this set the best STar wars set and a must have for fan) At least I think it was what people said about this set.

This is honestly the first I've ever heard any criticism of 10188. Quite frankly, it's a fantastic display piece, and the minifigures don't look that outdated.

I would like to know the opinion on the definitive Darth Maul. I want to have one for my collection but I'm not sure which is the better one. I'm leaning towards the one from newest Sith Infiltrator or the shirtless polybag. I think the CW version in Mandalorian speeder has too many flaws.

My favorite is the Sith Infiltrator one, Just because it has both the horned head piece and the black cowl.

The one from the second to last Infiltrator with the new headpiece. I really hate the cross eyed look on the newer versions.

Quick question, but what is the best way to store my Star Wars sets? Some of my parts have yellowed a bit and I want to keep it down. Most of my sets are in a dark room in my basement, with a mostly closed door. Is there anything better?

It's mostly the eyes, but Luke & Leia also have more marks against 'em with the slightly-too-low mouth on old Lukes (or are the eyes too high? whichever), and the tiny eyes & mouth on Leia. And of course Luke having tan hair is super-annoying, but that extends to every set with any hairpiece-wearing Luke (should be Dark Tan, but could be worse…could be Bright Yellow like the original Kenner Luke). The other humans fare fairly well, and Palpatine, despite the light bley, looks really good. Still amazes me the set was released so long ago (I only got it in 2011--didn't build it until 2012 tho!)

Using the Billy Bookshelf I have as a guide the MF will fit in the Detolf.
