Tjahzi Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Maybe this: http://brickset.com/minifigs/category-Star-Wars/subcategory-Star-Wars-Episode-4-5-6 will help you? Just change the subtheme to Epi 1-3 or 4-6. Quote
wesker Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Hello guys, is there some sort of list that includes all LEGO released Star Wars minifigures that appear in the movies? It's because I recently decided to collect only minifigures that appear in the movies, but I also collect the The Clone Wars variants of figs (like Shaak-Ti and Even Piell, ...). Now I have to "purge" all the other minifigures who have not featured in the movies, but I'm afraid that I'll overlook some figs, a list would be very helpfull in that case :) Brickipedia and Bricklink should keep you covered with all the characters that appeared in the sets based on the actual films. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars http://www.bricklink....asp?itemType=M For everyone else, these are the figures you'll want to keep: Clone Wars 501st Clone Trooper Aayla Secura Aurra Sing Commander Cody (Phase 1 armour instead of 2) Eeth Koth (different costume to films) Even Piell Ki-Adi-Mundi Magna Guard Nute Gunray in AOTC costume Onaconda Farr Plo Koon Quinlan Vos (different costume) Shaak Ti The Geonosians, Luminara Unduli and the Shock Troopers can be found in both the Clone Wars sets or the first release of Prequel sets. Its up to you whether you prefer the dated minifigures from 2002-2005 or the updated cartoony ones. Yoda Chronicles Astromech Droid in 75051 (R2-B1 from The Phantom Menace) RA-7 Protocol Droid (Sandcrawler version from A New Hope) 2014 Advent Calender + X-Wing Microfighter R2-X2 I'm pretty sure thats everyone. Fives Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Is there any place to talk about the licensing agreement currently held for Star Wars? Over in the Hobbit 2014 discussion people were talking about the chances of a Hobbit CMF series, and it seems the license for that line is quite similar to Star Wars in that LEGO holds the rights for construction toys, while Hasbro holds the rights for action figures. So I was wondering if this is the place or if there is somewhere else to discuss what the future could hold for LEGO Star Wars now that Lucasfilm is under new management? Quote

Moexy Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 Thank you very much Tjahzi and wesker! Those lists will be very helpfull! I already thought selling Aura Sing (didn't know she was in the movies)! Quote
legotrainfan Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 According to peeron, the Super Star Destroyer set has old grey bricks. How is that possible? The set was released in 2011 and the two old grey colours were replaced by the new ones a long time ago. Or is it just a mistake in peeron's database? Quote
Zerobricks Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 I'd say its a mistake, oldgray was phased out years ago. Quote
ancestral Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 SSDs does not have those. I have two, one opened on display and one misb. Checked instructions and nope. Quote
Lobot Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Hi legotrainfan, for future reference we have a Q&A thread pinned at the top of the forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit My SSD didn't have any old grey either (I purchased it shortly after it was first available). Quote
Moexy Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Hi guys, I have another question. Does there exist a light fleshie head version that can be used for Biggs Darkloghter? :) Quote
Robianco Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Someone used a Bard the Bowman head and brasso'd off the bottom part of the beard just leaving the moustache and it works really well. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Quinlan Vos (different costume) He is never seen in the movies. Only mentioned. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 He is never seen in the movies. Only mentioned. I think he was retconned into the background of the street vendor scene in Menace. Quote
wesker Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Here's the scene with Vos. Thank you very much Tjahzi and wesker! Those lists will be very helpfull! I already thought selling Aura Sing (didn't know she was in the movies)! You can see Aurra in the podrace scene. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) Here's the scene with Vos. [snip] [snip] Oh my. This is the first time in 15? 20? years I am wrong about a Star Wars related fact. I really didn't know Vos was retconned in TPM. In my defence: it's the prequels Edited August 24, 2014 by Brickdoctor Please don't quote images. Quote
Mr Man Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 I wasn't a retcon as such, just attaching a name to a background actor who was always there. Quote
Archer Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 If I replaced all the yellow parts of Anikans stargighter with dark red parts would it be a movie accurate version of obi wans? Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 If I replaced all the yellow parts of Anikans stargighter with dark red parts would it be a movie accurate version of obi wans? Yeah it would. I made a version like that in LDD and cross checked it to a movie shot. There are some bricks not available, like the grill plate and brick, but those can easily be replaced. Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I wasn't a retcon as such, just attaching a name to a background actor who was always there. The retcon was giving a story reason--he was undercover--for why Qui-Gon simply didn't ask for his assistance while they were on Tatooine. I know, 10,000 Jedi, Qui-Gon may not have recognized him... but, the Force, y'know? Also, Quinlan was shown to have known Obi-Wan for years, so odds are Qui-Gon would know him due to that if nothing else. Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 (edited) Not too sure if this is the right place to discuss this. But would trading or selling a Star Wars set be a wise decision for another set? Edited August 29, 2014 by AudiBobaR5-D2 Quote
Chills Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Depends on how much you'll get for the set you want to get rid of and how much the set you want is worth. Quote

Chills Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Thanks Been thinking about 7675, but not yet sure if it is worth it. Are you thinking the aftermarket price will drop? I've got the newest version of the AT-TE, and I've seen it on sale at Amazon for a few months now. Quote

Chills Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 In a way yes, but all complete apart from minifigs My advice is to use Bricklink as a baseline for what the set is worth, then see if you can find a deal on eBay. If you're in no rush you might have to wait quite a while, but you can find good sets from collectors for a good price. You just have to be really patient, most stuff on eBay is way overpriced. If you want the set sooner just get one from BL. Prices sometimes fluctuate, but you might not find the drop to be significant enough to wait. Quote
