dljbae Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Hello all, 1) Can someone here tell me what is the height (tallest point) of the 10221 Super Star Destroyer? 2) Also can someone tell me how wide it is? Greatly appreciate it and much thanks in advance again! Quote
Something_Awesome Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Lego's website says it is 124.5 cm long. Quote
dljbae Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Hello Something_Awesome, I was referring to the the total height/tall on the stand, and the depth of it. I'm just trying to collect some measurements. Thanks! Quote
Anio Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 You've got all measurements here : http://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-star-wars 37 cm wide, 25 cm tall. Quote
jindianajonz Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 For those of you who have 75058 but not 7662, how does 75058 fare on it's own? I just bought and built it this weekend, and was actually a bit disappointed. The minifigures are great and the build is very sturdy, but other than that I don't have much positive to say about it. My number one complaint is that there are gaps everywhere- it doesn't bother me when there are tiny holes around cockpits and such, but looking at it from the side it almost feels incomplete, especially over the front wheels. There's a small gribbly bit that is technic pinned into the side, but it isn't nearly big enough to cover the gap it is over. An even bigger bother to me was the gap just above the large slope brick at the center of the side- There's a big hole where the front half seemingly "slides into" the backhalf, and the designer didn't even bother to cover up a tan plate that is showing. (You can see this on the cover; the tan plate is a couple inches above the right-most battle droids head). The hole is big enough that you can easily see the white robot/gun rack inside. It's not a huge deal, but it does feel a bit sloppy. As for play features, other than the extending droid carrier, nothing really goes beyond "open this door and slide a thing out", except for the two "open this door and shoot the new spring loaded missiles". I know you didn't want comparisons to the old model, but I was a bit sad to see they dropped the feature that closed the front doors when you cranked the droid carrier back in. I'm not necessarily saying this set should be avoided, but if I had to rank all the star wars sets this would probably be in the bottom half. Still, if you never grabbed any of the old ones, it may be worth picking up. Quote
Lobot Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Hi dljbae, for future reference there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned at the top of the forum. I'll merge this thread with it in a bit Cheers, Robin Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Can anyone help me with this? For sometime, I have wondered if 7127, or 7657 is worth it, in terms of picking up one or the other. Having owned 7657 before, but never completed since original purchase, i'm not sure if 7127 is worth getting. Thanks in advanced. Quote
Venkefedo Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 7127 has brown bricks. BROWN. For a Scout Walker. It's also ridiculously small, and only comes with Chewie... 7657's legs look like they might not be the best, but I kinda like the aesthetic of the 'head' more, and it's got an AT-ST pilot which, while improved in more recent sets, is still a pretty solid figure. I'd stick with that one, but I'm speaking as someone who's never owned nor built either. Quote
Robianco Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 I've got 7657 and 8038... at first I preferred the 7657 version but I think that was down to how sturdy the legs were and the general solidity of it. 8038 is probably the most accurate shape though... but it's part of a larger set. I'm actually about to sell my 7657 but I'll PM you if interested rather than discuss it in the thread. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 Gents, What would be the highest price someone should pay for a complete used Sandcrawler 10144 (the 2005 Sandcrawler) ? Quote
GallardoLU Posted October 30, 2014 Posted October 30, 2014 should pay? that's hard to pin point. but personally I would never pay over 200 for it, and ideally wouldn't go over 150 for a used set. Quote

I've been offered this set for €175....the 150 you mention is also what I had in mind. Still, looking at pix the set looks kinda dated...but then again: it has jawas! I'll wait for the sellers reaction... Quote
Dinobrick Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Is the new at at worth its price? Not in terms of price per piece, but in looks, stability, accuracy, mini figs, articulation and play value? Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 If you want the minifigs AND don't own an AT AT, yet, I'd say go for it. If you don't need the minifigs and have a good brick collection, then I'd say download the building instructions and build the former one, which I liked a bit better than this current version. As for accuracy, you'd need to make quite some modifications and improvement on either one. There are some cool MODs of the official AT ATs to be found in the MOC Index of Eurobricks and on the internet generally. Quote

If I get this at at, I'm goingto add a second floor in the troop bay so it can carry more ssnow troopers. Or maybe I'll build my own version, a prototype to a full (mini fig) scale one. I picked up the new one not to long ago, was my first AT-AT. if your looking to build a second level in the troop bay I recommend going full MOC route. there just isn't much extra room in the body for another floor. and even if you did manage it the snow troopers would be nearly rubbing heads to get in and out. Dinobrick Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Full moc it is then. I have more than enough technic beams. Quote

There's actually a really easy way to fix this. All you need is 4 6628 pieces and the existing rubber bands. Put the 4 pins in the holes in the front on the top and bottom, and string one of the 2 extra rubber bands from the back on the pins. That should eliminate the brick separating. I think that the wings might flop a little on the bottom, but I can't remember since I modded it further. Extra bands on all of the pins should fix it, but might make it harder to open. Hope this helps! Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 So I've seen the Sith Fury a bit cheaper than RRP (£20 in fact), which is surprising as it's discontinued. It has been on my shopping list, albeit near the bottom, so I would like to ask you guys, whether the set is any good? Does it come with any useful pieces? Is it a worthwhile build? Thanks for your help. Quote
Lobot Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Hi, there’s a general Q&A thread at the top of the forum, I’ll merge this thread with it in a bit To answer your question, although I haven’t personally handled the set, it’s an absolute steal if you can get it at that price! Quote
