Ceroknight Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 And they say US customers get the best deals.... seriously, if I could get my hands on that set for that price, I'd buy one to display, a couple to part out and give me enough grey for the next few years, and buy as many more as I could to sell. It was a glich Lego was going to fix it but the MFs were sold out before than and they just sold it for that price Quote

master windu 7495 Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Yeah you're right, there seems to be a discrepancy in the extra arms of GG shown in the box vs. the actual arms of GG in the set. The arms shown in the box are of these types, which enable holding the lightsabers in an upright position, while the actual arms of GG in the set are these perpendicular ones, which can't hold 2 of the sabers in upright position. It's really weird for TLG to miss on this detail. on that issue, use droid arms where both ends are the same like on old droids or the handlebars on speeders. then you can imitate the box art(sort of) but the arms may not be the right colour unless you have grey ones. Way to answer a two-month old question by repeating a two-month old answer. Quote
Solscud007 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 (edited) Not really a question but I feel like celebrating. I just scored a SW lot from Craigslist. $30 usd for: 4483 AT-AT complete but no box or instructions 6208 B-Wing complete no box 7130 Snowspeeder (no rebel trooper or dish gun) a bit of a drive at 180 miles round trip plus tolls but not bad, not a bad haul at all. Pictures will be coming soon. EDIT: I realized I put 180 one way. not true. 180 round trip. 90 miles one way. Edited October 19, 2010 by Solscud007 Quote

FettJango Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 yep all three. for $30 looks in good condition. a little dusty. Does he have any other sets on craigslist? One last question: Did he say if there were any pieces missing? Quote
Solscud007 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Does he have any other sets on craigslist? One last question: Did he say if there were any pieces missing? After looking them over and dusting them off, 3 inch paint brush works wonder. Nope no pieces missing except the snow speeder set is missing the rebel trooper and radar dish gun. But to make up for it I found two storm troopers inside the ATAT seats. And to add to that surprise one has a Ep.III Obi Wan Kemobi head from the 7143 Jedi Starfighter. And the other stormtrooper has some guy with glasses on his forehead. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpx32 Here they are. He didnt have anything else. Sorry. Cleaned him out. Quote
Future74 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Awesome deal Solscud007, I would have taken them for double that prize without a single thought. Especially that 4483 Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Nice haul. I never find anything good at yardsales, craigslist, etc. Quote

Galactic Marine Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Ideas for Dengar's Head? Because I might change is headdress to one where you can see is face. The two dots a smiley face is quite rubbish with an open headdress. One last thing: Can anybody give me the height, width and length of the UCS imperial shuttle box? It be great if somebody can give me a size so I can check if I can store it behind the wardrobe. Quote

I've always used the scarred anakin head from the Darth's tranformation set from Revenge of the Sith, tried swapping over the headdress to the new piece from POP line but didnt like how bulky it was so have kept the original for the mo. You can see a bit from this picture- Bounty Hunters by smokebelch, on Flickr Quote

Perhaps sawing open the white ninja mask? Quote

Brickdoctor Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Not to minimod, but isn't this the second time you've asked the dimensions of the UCS Shuttle box? That topic and the answers got merged with the General SW Questions thread, where this should be also. Quote
Masked Builder Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 I'd ask here for the box dimensions. Quote

I can't really pay attention well to things to do with forums and where things are suppose to be because I don't use them very often. Just asking things along the way to see if anybody is kind enough to make 3 measurements for me. Quote
drdavewatford Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 UCS Shuttle Box is 58 cm x 47.5 cm x 9 cm. Dr. D. Quote

prateek Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Question! What kind of plastic are Battle Droids made of? If not ABS, why not? I'd think it would make the droid parts (I'm looks at you arms!) stronger. Quote
