Hey guys, Anyone know if the Micro-Fighter series is still going. Only just come back into collecting, but one thing I noticed that is a thing, that wasn't when I used to buy SW Lego are the the Micro-Fighters. Just wondered if there are any plans to continue them in 2016 and how frequently do they come out? Once a year or twice?

Once a year, so only 2 waves have been released (Falcon, Star Destroyer, TIE Interceptor, X-wing, Turbo Tank, AAT in Wave 1, Snowspeeder, AT-AT, Vulture Droid, Republic Gunship, Spider Droid, and ARC-170 in Wave 2). I hope it sticks around for years to come, and/or switches to two waves per year, since I'd love to see other Rebel fighters ASAP, along with oddities like a mini Sandcrawler with a Jawa, and maybe even some crazy EU stuff if Lucasfilm is okay with it (who wouldn't want Kyle Katarn with a Moldy Crow or Raven's Claw? HK-47 with an Ebon Hawk? Bossk with the Hound's Tooth?)

Hey guys so I have a quick question for you. After calculations, many of them, I found that it would cost me about $603 for all the bricks given the fact I have about 1/5 of them already and that shipping will add an extra 1/8 of the price. So here's my question, which I kind of have an answer in mind, but I want all of your inputs since I have only been out of the dark ages for a year and a half now. Should I either:

a) Spend the money for the Bley Star Destroyer (UCS)

or

b) Spend the same amount of money of the Death Star II UCS, AT-ST UCS, and either General Grievous UCS, Tie Fighter 2015 UCS, or save for the new Hoth Echo Base as the last part too this Mega UCS Haul

Well the answer is kind of jabbing at me, but like I said is this deal for a $600 10030 too good to pass up even for 3 UCS sets or would the money be better to get the three sets listed in option b. I'm so confused, please help!

Sorry for posting this, but i found a MF (7965) without minifigs for 100€ and I don't know if I should wait for the new MF, since it will be 60€ more for almost the same set(?)...

I borrowed and built a UCS ISD. It was a nice long build. The end result was display only model that took up a lot of space. I wanted the 10030 back then but not so much now. It depends on what your SW needs and goals are.

I take it you already have the wheels, globes and 6x16 tile plates? Getting those in bley would cost half your budget easily.

For $600 you might be able to pick up a used one on good condition. I've actually found there to be fewer bley versions for sale, but I picked up a nice used one with box and manual for $700.

No I was planning on painting the 3 large wheels and globes to reduce cost because otherwise it would make sense just to buy one on ebay

If you truly think the ISD will satisfy your inner Lego fan, I say go for it. I just bricklinked the UCS Millennium Falcon and I couldn't be happier. I was very reluctant, at first, due to the high cost of finishing the build. Ultimately, I had to let go of that mental roadblock and I am glad I did.

what are the chances of we ever seeing a Grand Moff Tarkin minifigure in the future? I bought the death star a long time ago but haven't built it, until I find and update the minifigures that were in there, the only one missing is Tarkin.

Plus I understand the stormtroopers battle pack are from the rebel series, but does anyone pass them off as regular stormtroopers? lol. I find my self feeling guilty because of it...

If Just2Good wasn't joking when he said that there would be a new Death Star in 2016, a new version of Grand Moff Tarkin should be guarateed.

As for the Rebel's Stormtroopers, I haven't added them to the Death Star nor the Ewok Village because they look too different from the other versions. I usually just have them next to other battlepack figs to make a small army.

Pretty good chances, he's appeared on Rebels and will probably be a recurring character so LEGO might pop him into a Rebel set.

Me too I just bricklinked my own Falcon and it was definitely worth the price. Then I went on to bricklink Darth Maul 10018 (pictures below). Perhaps if I spread this project out over a few months/hauls the bill wont put a huge immediate dent in my funds and maybe I'll go on to get the AT-ST since for me it is just $89 to bricklink (without shipping)

oh wow another death star by 2016? I hope it's better, but knowing lego lately it will be less bricks and less minifigs.

I mean honestly, Yularen surprised me, I haven't seen rebels yet, but after watching episode 4 and then seeing the meeting in the death star and seeing him there made me want the promo more than ever, but it's like I can trade their minifigs for the actual movie figs, so hopefully Tarkin shows up, but now I am worried since you never know if the death star from the 2016 might be from the new movie, but who knows.

Regarding the clone commanders, I was reading the new character encyclopedia and noticed that contrary to what I'd been told before, Cody is indeed different from his other troops so I do retract that one. But I also saw that Commander Neyo is the minifig in the Saleucami battle set from last year, so you can add him to the list of characters we DID get!

Hi Cjd223, for future reference there's a general SW Q & A pinned to the top of the forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit :classic:

Re: your query, all I'd say is have a good think about what you want to do. I tried to Bricklink a 10030 a couple of years ago, but even then it was difficult to get a lot of the parts new, and I just got frustrated with it and had to admit defeat! However, have you considered Bricklinking the Death Star II rather than buying one? It's relatively cheap to build and most of the parts are readily available, there's even a thread about it: :wink:http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=71088&st=0

If you haven't Bricklinked anything before it's great fun, but it's essential to do lots of planning first!

I there,

I was wondering if there is a way to get a few Rebel troopers, other than BL which is pretty obvious. I only have one Rebel trooper, and no stormtrooper, and still I'd like to be able to build some SW MOCs :sceptic:

The only current sets with any OT rebels other than pilots are the B-Wing & Ewok Village. So BL or eBay etc is your best option I think. Since you are staff, the rebels in the prize for winning the SW battle pack contest is out of the question!:sad:

Yes I have bricklinked projects before (cavegod's ATAT(fail) Anios Anakin Podracer, UCS Millennium Falcon, Darth Maul Bust) and as a matter of fact I did thunk about bricklinking the death star ii so that actually became my question for the same price its either the ISD or Death Star II AND AT-ST AND Tie fighter or hoth

The Death Star II looks great on display, although it's very wobbly! Personally I'd chose that and the AT-ST & TIE Fighter, rather than the ISD - I can't cope with the idea of painted parts, but I guess that I'm a purist! I'm quietly hoping that TLG will release a new version of the ISD in the next few years, it's long overdue for a face-lift and it seems to be prone to 'sagging', due to the use of magnets.

Okay so I have cut my options down to just two. Which one should I Bricklink, 10030 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for $600 or 10143 UCS Death Star II for $338? And the Star Destroyer would be Light Bluish Gray not the Old Light Gray if I were to do it

Is 7662 MTT worth keeping? Also how easy is it to create, roughly, a hanger/corridor from any one iconic scene from both the Prequel and Original Trilogy?

I have the 7662 MTT and I think it's one of my favorite sets. Its scale goes pretty well next to the new AAT and is probably the heart to any droid army. Depending on the price you find, yes, I think it's worth purchasing.
