Is 7662 MTT worth keeping? Also how easy is it to create, roughly, a hanger/corridor from any one iconic scene from both the Prequel and Original Trilogy?

I plan on returning mine to the lego store since I don't want it and bought it online.

Hi community

I'm a newbie UK poster on the forums and I've done a bit of searching but couldn't find what I wanted so here's this post

I'm considering building a 10179 from bar parts

What's the best way for me to go about getting all the parts

I've seen people mention getting a spreadsheet made up and entering all the part numbers and quantities then checking prices on PAB and BrickLink ... but for a newbie to this that sounds daunting

Are there any shortcut I could take ? Any spreadsheets I can grab for example which have suggestions for alternate parts for the handful of hard to get 10179 parts ? or any premade ways of getting the parts entered in to a shopping basket on Lego.com etc ...

Or do I have to take the plunge and boot up a new spreadsheet

When I started making my UCS Imperial Star destroyer I started printing out the pieces inventory. I then started collecting all the pieces I had and marked the ones I still needed. I then made a bricklink list with all the pieces I needed to buy and started looking for shops that had them. Some pieces might be cheaper on the lego website on bricks and pieces or pick a brick.

It's great fun, but I'd strongly recommend that you do quite a lot of planning before you start making any orders!

Just a question. What would be the quickest way to build a Lego Star Wars set (if there is a quicker way that is). In terms of building key parts of the set first, then putting them together afterwards, or brick by brick?

Okay so I have cut my options down to just two. Which one should I Bricklink, 10030 UCS Imperial Star Destroyer for $600 or 10143 UCS Death Star II for $338? And the Star Destroyer would be Light Bluish Gray not the Old Light Gray if I were to do it

You've not missed any, they are apparently being released in the same order that the corresponding films were released.

I've done it, and it looks pretty good. My original gun got destroyed so it took its place nicely.

It does look a bit smaller, but it feels like it was meant for it, Are you also getting the Final Duel set coming out next month and see if you can outfit it in this set?

No. I might end up getting it, but even if I do I think that the one in the Death Star is just fine.

I was at the Lego store and they had a displayed 75087 (Anakin's custom ship). It looks good but what the heck are those "engines/turbines" on the front? IMO, it just detracts from the design. Any one else feel the same?

I take it that's why it's a custom Jedi starfighter rather than a stock one.

AudiBoba: Personally, I would go for 75055, I think the figure range is stronger and the interior is better and more spacious than 8039. The interior for 8039 has lots of gaps and isn't as big as 75055, hope that helps.

So I've begun bricklinking a 10030 in Light Bluish Gray and I have everything ordered for $570 but I still need 12 of the magnet holders (doesnt have to be tan). Any help on how to do this inexpensively?
