Yeah

Dang it! I am also located overseas, and the px store here only had a couple of sets, and they where ridiculously overpriced. They had

the flash speeder for $60!!! Nearly had a stroke when they told me the price, cause I thought px stores weren't supposed to jack up prices... :hmpf_bad::grin:

That's weird. I bought the flash speeder at the bx also, but for its listed $30 price. Sounds like they're ripping you off

I dout most people will want one because these are most likely stolen goods.

You don't know if it is stolen. Suprisingly this polybag start showing in Poland, I saw few auction on polish auction site called Allegro. Now they are few listed there by legaly running firm.

that shipping price .

Well UPS is expensive. Truth. But another option - shipping with post is ok and they are effective. Approximately 6$ is not that expensive. And I didn't steal it. I paid for that.

As someone considering building a UCS Millennium Falcon with parts I own/bricklinking the rest, is there a list of the nonvisible parts I can use any color for? Thanks.

Im not saying you stole it but some one you bought it from might have since this most likly is a preorder figure for the game

Anyone seen any MOC's of the catwalk seen from TFA?

Not on here, but I'd like to see some. That's definitely a scene worthy of MOC treatment.

It could be done simply by building a section of the catwalk or one could go all out and build the whole complex with Chewie, Rey, Finn and Stormtroopers.

Agreed. I thought about doing a big one, but it would take a lot of bricks and a lot of obscure pieces to get it looking accurate.

My collection has become a living organism which has occupied most of my living space and bedroom. The biggest issue is really the empty boxes stacked in the corner of the room. I want to flatten them all but I also like the idea of being able to sell some of the collection if I ever need the money. Does flattening the box hurt its value?

I've done both the 'box inside a box' thing but I've also started to flatten boxes for things that are built.

Some of my sets... a lot of them actually are repacked away in their boxes. I think if it's something that you can just slice the tape and flatten things out then that'll protect the box too... which will help in long term value if looking for the option of selling in the future.

I've bought boxes for incomplete sets, for resale purposes, and they always arrive flatpacked.

On the subject of boxes, how does everyone open the boxes? I hate how they are sealed all the way around. I am always careful but pain to open.

An opened box is an opened box anyway. Opened at both ends doesn;t really matter to the value. I'd prefer a box opened carefully (invisibly) at both ends with a craft knife, rather than one with the tabs broken.

Yeah. If they're the type that are glued I tend to run a sharp knife along to cut through the glued area which you can always keep neat as opposed to the thumbed tear sections on boxes.

I prefer the tape on larger boxes so you can just slice through them and the box is in perfect condition.

Hi everyone. I have multiple sets from both galactic empire and the first order. The Darth Vader and stormtrooper army scene inspired me so I decided to create a Lego army. My question is should I collect galactic empire themed sets or the new force awakens sets with modern stormtroopers? This is my first post I am sorry if made mistakes.

Posted

Either or. The good thing about the First Order is all the sets they are in are for sell right now. Furthermore all their Minifigures are unified in their design; no unneeded variatians.

The Galactic Empire though is very classic. They are harder to collect though since the stormtroopers have several variants over the past 16 years (that makes me feel old) of Lego Star Wars. But they are very iconic, and just look like Star Wars.

Or just save up money and collect both. :) Over several years of collecting I have a "decent" Galactic Empire. Not a Legion, but a good sized squad with a Tie-Fighter, an AT-AT, and a few sporadic allies. It's not always needed to have x100 troops; I only have three stormtroopers, with a single shadow trooper, several snowtroppers, two biker scouts (old ones too), an AT-AT pilot, a few officers, a Tie-Pilot, a Navy trooper, two Death Star gunners, a pair of imperial guards, and the battle damaged Darth Vader. It's not a large x100 army of identical figures, but it is diverse enough to represent the Empire at its worst :)

As someone who has purchased a few of the older classic UCS sets used, I'd say that box being flattened is pretty meaningless. You can easily reassemble the box and it wouldn't even be noticeable. The condition of the printing on the box is far more important.

Anyone seen MOC's of the Starkiller Base from TFA. I am currently working on one, however it is proving difficult due to lack of images and content.
