So I have a question.

I have a lot of old Episode 3 clone troopers, the original ones, and i'm thinking of selling them on eBay as a lot based on legion. I probably have 11 or 15 Starcorps, 10 shock troopers, 3 recon, 2 swam troopers, and a couple plain. I'm pretty much over my prequel phase and want to upgrade my Imperial and Rebel alliance armies. This includes upgrading to the new officers, technicians, new stormtroopers that's expensive so i'm going to have to sell some older stuff. Out with the old, in with the new sort of deal.

I'm just conflicted because I never use them and they just sit in a container but I do like them a lot. Should I sell them? Are they worth selling? If so how should I do it, a single lot with all of them or by color group?

If you like them and still want to sell them I suggest saving at least 1 of each trooper for your collection. Probably should sell them by color. I personally wouldn't sell them as I like clones. I'm practically doing what you are doing except not selling my clones. Trying to build up a decent Imperial squad and my rebels. Edited by ChiefPie

I say hang on to them until Lego makes the updated phase 2 clones more widely available.

Do you guys like to buy from people in your country or outside your country on bricklink?

Personally, outside my country. But I live in Hong Kong, there are very few sellers here, and most are vastly over-priced. I'd say 75% of my Bricklink orders come from Germany, because shipping is cheap and fast, and we have no import tax here so I never need to worry about customs charges.

Thanks guys thats good advice. I'll probably sit on the decision for a week or so.

Sell all clones and forget anything George Lucas did after 1983 ever happened.

At the very least, try posting in the Bazaar/trade section for a week or two and see if you get any bites.

After eBay fees, PayPal fees, and shipping, you'll lose like 1/3 of the value on your figures. Perhaps there's somebody looking for clones who has OT figures or sets you want (so instead of buying those sets you can use that money towards army building). That way, both of you get what you want but don't eat seller fees.

Wouldnt that devalue OPs lot?

Either way, i say get rid of em if you can get a decent price

I had a clone army as well for a while, but decided to get rid of it, and focus on my Imperial army, i dont have the disposable income or space to properly army build two factions (after all, ive got different themes to keep up with as well, Technic, Speed Champions, cool cars in general)

Can someone tell me what the height of the UCS sandcrawler is? Looking at getting some new display cases, and I've been undecided whether to get the sandcrawler or not. If it fits then I might get it.

I'd say hang onto them if you still enjoy them. If you do decide to sell, I would do one big lot. If you break it into sub-lots, eBay just kills you with fees.

If I called LEGO customer service, do you think I can get them to send me 8 or 9 replacement sticker sheets? I want to re-do some of the stickers on several sets. Or, would that be too many to ask for at a time?

You could always ask and find out

I will after I finally get the replacement Slimer I ordered. They've sent me two, one just shipped last Friday because the first one never arrived. Just curious if anybody had luck asking for a large amount of sticker sheets.

Just be cautious when asking for too much. There are threads on this board explaining that people have been blacklisted because of perceived "abuse" of the replacement system.

Yeah, I don't want that to happen. I've been too worried that if the second Slimer doesn't ever show up, they may not send me a third.

I think what you should do is speak to someone at Lego's Customer Service department whether that be by phone or email. They will understand the problem and get you what you need without getting flagged.

I explained that to the last person I talked to. The second one only shipped a week ago, so there's still time to wait.

How does that work? Don't you have to present some sort of evidence that you own the set or anything? or is this a trust based system? BTW i'm not planning on abusing it because that would be unethical but it's something that's always bugged me.

They ask for the part number and the proof of purchase number on the back of the instruction book. If you're a VIP member and you bought the set from the LEGO store or their website, they'll see it on your purchase history too.

Thank you that's good to know. For battle packs I tend to throw out the instructions so i'm going to have to hang onto all of them from now on in case theres a discrepancy with a part. I've gotten a radian with a half melted face once and I never got a replacement.
