Jackad7 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Alright so awhile ago I asked for help with putting a cape on a light up minifigure. Multiple people suggested to cut the Cape down the back and slide it over the head, this looks perfect! Thank you guys so much I really appreciate it! Also I'm wondering do you guys thing they will relate the new turbo tank at the same time as the new both set(April 30th) in time for may the 4th? Quote
MartinCliffe Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Also I'm wondering do you guys thing they will relate the new turbo tank at the same time as the new both set(April 30th) in time for may the 4th?I already replied to this question on the previous page. No, Assault On Hoth is the special May 4th release for Star Wars Day (and only available direct from LEGO), while the Turbo Tank is part of the standard June release wave that goes out to all stores. Wolvie90 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Is it cheaper to bricklink the set or buy it as a whole Quote
Smack Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Honestly you can figure this out yourself if you get a parts list of the set, figure out what you might have on hand, and then go to bricklink and figure out what parts you need and at what cost. Quote
Cyberfounder Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Which one should I get, the Imperial Assault Carrier or the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium? Also does anybody have a picture of the two sets side by side? Thanks in advance! Shuttle Tydirium for sure! Quote
ecmo47 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I think it is cheapest to find one that is 90% complete and finish up with Bricklink. Every time I Bricklink something, I always find extra parts that I need/want and I loose track of how much is spent on the original! Quote
Forresto Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 But does the shuttle have the correct codes? Quote
Smitty500 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 another factor is the special pieces that the set had, like the inverted windscreen or the rancor slopes, that are hard to come by or expensive. I would try and get most of it on ebay, if you want a 100% accurate set. Personally, I would build my own, based off the original model Quote
Forresto Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Buildng your own would be the cheapest way of doing it Quote
JPN366 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 But does the shuttle have the correct codes? It's an old code, but it checks out. Quote
Jackad7 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 You could offer to buy them at like the dollar it costs to make them if you're that concerned. So there have been like three or four different adaptations of the destroyer Droid AKA droideika, I'm wondering which version you guys think is the closest to being movie accurate. Also bought some bulk local that had multiple sets in it, doing math I figured I could keep one and then sell the rest to break even. Here are the sets I'm looking at keeping: 8088 arc170 starfigher -I have the original version but not this one. Also need captain Jag for plo koon execution 7678 Droid gunship -I don't have any of these and I kindof like it but I'm not sure what I would use it for. 8086 Droid trifighter -already have one but another couldn't hurt for my episode 3 space battle 75002 At-Rt -already have the 2007 version and nothing to do with this one but it looks cool and I kind of like it next to my laptop as I'm typing this. Would probably sell all the figure as I have them Input is appreciated, if anyone has preference on these I would be glad to hear! Quote
Forresto Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 It's an old code, but it checks out. Well I was about to clear them! (Thank you ) Quote
Wolvie90 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Thought about building my own but if i am going to spend almost 300-400 bricklinking the pieces dont you guys think its better to get the set on ebay Quote
ChiefPie Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I've been seeing some on ebay for about $400 Quote
masterofmonkeys Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 They've been on ebay for 400. I've personally been picking up some incomplete 75021 and 75019s and will be MOCking one. Part of that decision was based on the fact that the 75021 is significantly updated from the 7676 Quote
PaulPrime Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Every time I Bricklink something, I always find extra parts that I need/want and I loose track of how much is spent on the original! Glad to see I am not the only one! Quote

What was the point of asking if you know the cost involved? Quote

Argonmt Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Can anyone point me to the right n complete guide on how to motorized the wings if 10212? So far the threads that I m seeing are either incomplete or just part of the iceberg, thank in advance Quote
Forresto Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Hey everyone so im thinking of buying a rancor as i missed getting the set a few years ago. So far the average price ive found is $50 just for the rancor which I would eventually be willing to pay (not now on the eve of the march wave) as I really want to get my hands on one. Does anyone have advice for buying one or of cheaper avenues because t0 dollars is a bit steep one dude. Quote
HawkLord Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 You could see if anyone has one for trade on this board. The rancor is a great figure, btw. I can see it being worth the price, especially given that it's only appeared in one set and nothing on the horizon indicates it'll be back around. I mean, look how long it's taken the wampa to come back. Quote

I bought one on Bricklink for $25 less than a month ago (because I bought an incomplete Rancor Pit on eBay really cheap). I ended up selling the complete Rancor Pit set yesterday for $59 + shipping. So whatever you do don't buy just the Rancor for $50. There's currently one on Bricklink for $30 but you can probably get one cheaper if you're patient and wait for a deal. Why don't you just buy the Rancor Pit set? Quote

Of course I would trust someone who has been a long or frequent member but still. Is trading here pretty reliable? Good to know, the figure looks totally worth it.
