Robianco Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Thankfully there's a good and bad traders list so you should be able to find out if someone is reliable. I've also never had a bad experience on BL either but I know other who have so maybe best to leave that there. Quote
HawkLord Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I've completed trades/sales on other boards (not here) and as long as you do some research on who you're working with it should be fine. Obviously avoid red flags like new members, no previous trading/sales history, etc. And if you can get the Rancor pit sealed for alittle more than just the Rancor on its own, I would do that. Then you'd know if was sealed and fresh and the rest of the set isn't bad for bricks. Quote
JPN366 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Hey everyone so im thinking of buying a rancor as i missed getting the set a few years ago. So far the average price ive found is $50 just for the rancor which I would eventually be willing to pay (not now on the eve of the march wave) as I really want to get my hands on one. Does anyone have advice for buying one or of cheaper avenues because t0 dollars is a bit steep one dude. I bought a sealed Rancor Pit set for $95 from a vendor at a LEGO fair back in January. So, I don't have any advice for you as I went the full route. My son was wanting the Rancor and his keeper minfigure, we saw the whole set and just said why not. Plus, you get a Luke, a Gamorrean guard and a skeleton figure along with the cage/pen. Quote
lanesteele240 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Has anyone bricklinked the USC falcon lately. Im almost done buying the parts for cavegods at-at. I will sub the ultra rare parts. I may also do it in used bricks to get that grungy look Im just kinda thinking ahead. So if anyone knows of a place were i can get an excell list of parts or will i have to make my own Quote

lanesteele240 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Brickset has it http://brickset.com/...ntories/10179-1 Thank you. Looks like it will be cheaper and easier than the at-at if i stay away from the rare peices Quote
Jackad7 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Thank you. Looks like it will be cheaper and easier than the at-at if i stay away from the rare peices How much do you anticipate it will cost and how many stores do you usually buy from? Quote
lanesteele240 Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) How much do you anticipate it will cost and how many stores do you usually buy from? Im looking around 450USD for the At-at. But i had a lot of the parts before i started. As of now i have two BL orders for over 125 each. I have 3 ebay orders for some of the rare printed dishes. I totally suggest that if you want to do this build in the future go ahead and buy the rare parts now. They are getting harder and harder to find as more people build it. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/cjd_223/cavegod-ucs-at-at-instructions. This is a part list. Im building mine off the plans the guy on this forum made out of cavegods ldd plans. Edited February 27, 2016 by lanesteele240 Quote
Willsy Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Just out of morbid curiosity, how much would it cost roughly to Bricklink the UCS Falcon? I'm not seriously considering it really, the thing is huge and I think modding my 75105 to be more accurate and detailed would be enough for me. Quote

For what it's worth, I've traded with EB members half a dozen times, all of the trades went smoothly, and I'm looking forward to future trades. This is definitely a reliable community for trades. Thank you guys a lot. I have much to ponder now Quote
Forresto Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I hate to double post ( I never do) but I have an update on the rancor. I scrounged and searched and I found a seller a couple states from me selling one for $30. I'm the proud owner of a Rancor, once it ships Quote
Spud The Viking Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hello folks, I am planning on buying off of Bricklink and using my personal collection to create a 1:1 Imperial Star Destroyer Bridge. If anyone has any pictures, suggestions or advice I would be very grateful. Thanks. Quote

Spud The Viking Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 https://www.google.p...cxpCGUQ_AUIBigB Thanks for the link, but is there any other Lego MOCs other than the top when searched in google? Quote
Lobot Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hi Spud The Viking None spring to mind, but as La Chupacabra suggested Google is probably a good starting point. For future reference there's a general Q&A thread pinned to the top of this forum which is ideal for this sort of thing. I'll merge this thread with it in a bit Quote

Sion Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I just bought a new and sealed Shirtless Darth Maul polybag 5000062. I was wondering whether or not I should keep it in the polybag. Quote

Are you planning on reselling it? If not and you have the figure just to own and enjoy then I say open that sucker up. Are you going to MOC a lot? Thats another contributing factor, the figure could be used in MOCs. That's just me though. Just know i'm not the type to keep things in packaging when reading my advice Quote

Forresto Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Set him free. that way he can fight people His shirt or the figure Since he's the figure bearing his chest out! Actually someone should make that a vignette, Darth Maul randomly ripping his upper robes off. Quote
Sion Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 How much is it roughly estimated to be worth in the future? I'll still probably take it out though. Thanks for the answers. Quote
HawkLord Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 I don't think shirtless Maul will be all that popular/valuable. I would open it. As polybags go, he's not quite one of the more valuable ones and unless Maul does something big in the Rebels show (or who knows maybe even the new trilogy), I doubt he's going to be that sought after.
