And the new Clone Trooper Commander in the upcoming battle pack will as well

EDIT: Why do you think all of a sudden with the upcoming january wave TLG are releasing so many new figures? Is it just to raise prices on the sets or because of Lego Star wars fans demands for new figures?

Because the guys over at Lucas Animation are churning out this clone and that clone faster than TLG can. And because they appear to be redoing a lot of the old minifigs.

I have another question :classic:

I plan on making Facebook pages of Lego Star Wars sets over the years and I want to know if any of you have any particular set in mind for me to make as a Facebook page?

NOTE: So that this topic does not get clustered with set pages ideas (If any at all) Please message me your patricular set

Yeah, like Obi-Wan, Anakin, Luminara, and other guys as well.

No, that's CW-fication. That's bad. Redoing is like the Ewoks and Gungans. That can be good.

Not all redoing is good, Baris Offe (or whatever her name is) was bad, but the clone pilots (from the new ARC fighter, and Palps shuttle) and the new P2 clones from the new SS where good, and not CW-ified.

I said it can be good.

Sorry guys this is just star wars, not tlg star wars. What type of droids/cis vehicles were deployed on the battle of mygeeto? Were the marines heavily outnumbered? what was the cause for the holes on the bridge we see in the movie? What was the purpose for the attack besides taking down the banking clan, and were all the galactic marines equipped with blaster rifles, or did some some have Dc-15 pistols? and how did the clones do after assassinating ki-adi? i know its a-lot, but this would be so helpful for my next moc.:sweet:

I'd advise you to look up Battle of Mygeeto on Wookieepedia first, but off the top of my head I can say that the CIS deployed Octuptarra droids, which were seen launching missiles and wer probably the causes of the holes. In BF2, and so far this is still canon info, the assault was really ordered by Palpatine to obatain an energy crystal from the Sep complex that was later used in the development of the Death Star superlaser.

I know the battlefront 2 story, but its pretty inaccurate, i dont like to rely on it. (it says the 501st was deployed everywhere, which isn't true obviously  ) Thanks though, octuptarras were nicknamed tri droids right?

I's kinda long (the article portion you're looking for, so I put it in spoiler tags.

The first conflicts on Mygeeto began in 21 BBY when the Galactic Marines provided a diversion for Walon Vau and Delta Squad when they secured funds from the Vau family vault below the surface of Mygeeto. Conflict went on for two years[2] until Supreme Chancellor Palpatine declared Mygeeto part of a "Triad of Evil", three planets which formed Separatist bastions. Along with Felucia and Saleucami, Mygeeto was singled out as a prime target whose fall would help end the conflict...

Two major units participated in the battle, with a majority of the fierce combat falling upon the Galactic Marines, under the command of Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi and Commander Bacara. The unit fought the Separatist Droid Army in extended urban fighting amid the ultramodern towers of a major Mygeetan city. A second unit of the Grand Army involved in the battle were elements of the 501st Legion, who were sent on a special mission from the Chancellor himself...

The 501st, according to Mundi, were dispatched to Mygeeto to destroy an energy collector which powered Separatist facilities in the area. However the true intent of the mission was to secure the Separatist power generator, and to acquire the ancient Mygeetan crystal powering it. The crystal was an experimental power source that the Chancellor required for a top-secret tributary laser-stream project codenamed "Hammertong"...

Heavy Separatist resistance came from AAT tanks. Also more AA guns were positioned at the north end of the central platform...

CIS Strength: B1 battle droids[3]

Assault droids

Engineer battle droids

B2 super battle droids

Droidekas

IG-100 MagnaGuards

AAT tanks

DSD1 dwarf spider droids

LM-432 crab droids

Tri-droids

Anti-aircraft guns

Why aren't there as many minifigs in sets(generally) as there was in previous years?

Lord Embo

If anything, aren't there more?

Incorrect. There are actually two varieties: the Octuptarra tri-droid (from the Clone Wars) and a bulkier model known simply as the "tri-droid". I understand that there is a third variation in the Neo-Clone Wars film as well.

Indeed. Besides, it wasn't the 501st that was deployed with Ki-Adi Mundi but the 21st Nova Corps (under Bacara). The 501st weren't on Felucia with Aayla Secura either; that was the 327th Star Corps. At the time of the Battle of Mygeeto I think it'd be safe to assume that all of the 501st were with Anakin on Coruscant

Wookieepedia says 'elements of the 501st', I guess just to keep BF2 as canon as possible. Personally I don't think it would have been that hard to add a couple more skins to the game, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Wait, don't say it, I've got you covered.

Bah, retcons!

I have seen a post (on another site) claiming that there are instructions for new models made with different MINI Star Wars Sets. These instructions were on the Lego Club website. Do they exist? How can we access them?

Thanks!

Well, I know, that a while ago there were "mini"sets you could build using regular themed(and possible Star Wars) sets. I believe they were called mini-buildits. They were in the Club section. So you might want to check there.

Prior to 2007, the sets had alternate builds featured on the back of the set boxes, and I know instructions were available at the club website. The original minis were released in 2003, so I suppose there would have been alternate builds for them, although I've never seen one.

Yes, that was it! Thank you!

Actually, I acknowledge that Battlefront and many other games change things for the purpose of game mechanics (no different from the snowspeeder towing Death Stars in the LEGO Star Wars video game) so I don't consider the 501st journals to be canon, much less retcons. (Though I'm not sure if the legion of the Emperor's "best troops even referred to the 501st in the first place. But they've only been named since '04, so...)

In LSW2, the towing DSs was for aesthetic purposes and is available as a purchaseable extra. When you first start out, you tow bombs, in which case you are right in that that capability was added for game mechanics. Like in BF2 where the standard Eta-2 and TIE Interceptors carry missiles.

At the very least, I'd consider the 501st missions to Hoth, Geonosis, and Coruscant to be canon, and until some other source overrides the other missions I think they're considered canon too.

I think that feature was in the game just to add some hilarity to it for younger fans.

Younger fans? I found it amusing the first two or three times I did it. But the novelty wore off quickly. Same with the santa hats in LHP 1-4.

I meant to say generally younger fans, but it slipped my mind at the time. I admittedly did find the Santa Hats and Tow Death Star extras amusing, but only for a very short period of time.

There was also the mustache, cups, and brooms in LSW 1 and the egg, chicken, and bubble guns from the GBA edition LSW 2, which I thought were okay.
