Brickdoctor Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Hi guys. In 8084 Snowtrooper BP,i got some wierd extra piece . It was a blue bush. Did it happen to you? A bush? An actual piece like a plant or Techinc bush? That would be...unusual. If it's not a piece, then it's just a little bit from the molding and production that sneaked into your box. Quote
KimT Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Look guys, extra parts are in no way randomly inserted. Extra parts are added to the different polybags because of the weight system that controls wether or not a polybag is packed with the right and enough grams. Of course mistakes happen, but as a general rule every set has identical extra parts. Anyone claiming otherwise better flash some pics while the parts are still in the polybags. How else can BL list the extra parts as part of the many sets' inventories? A blue bush, eh? Sounds interesting, could you share a picture of it? That would help us identify it. Quote

I will try to find the piece on bricklink and link here. And BrickDoctor, its a technic. Edit : It has 2 sides. One side bush, and other side axle. Edit 2 : Okay, found it. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=3749 but in blue. Edited December 5, 2010 by Gile (SRB) Quote
KimT Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Wow, that's really odd. It's not supposed to be in that set - not even in a different colour. Must be a mixup when packing the polybags at the factory? Quote

Ye,must be.Or maybe that piece sneak in my extra pieces LEGO box,but i don't believe it,because it looks like a new piece. And i haven't bought any LEGO in like 10 year streak! EDIT : Well, this "extra" piece doesn't mean anything to me... I could live without it... Edited December 5, 2010 by Gile (SRB) Quote
Lord Embo Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Very odd that you got that extra piece. I always seem to get strange extra pieces in sets, but I'm not complaining as these extras will be useful for MOCing purposes(like the new Lego HP contest, but that's off topic ). Lord Embo Quote

Are you missing any other pieces or have other odd pieces? BTW, just in case, if it's not too late already, don't open the polybags. And you've linked to the frictionless version of that piece, which is always tan or grey. A blue one is the 'with friction' version. Quote
Fallenangel Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Does anyone here know the configuration for the Millennium Falcon's landing gear or preferably provide a picture? I'm looking for both the original version with five landing pads and the Empire version with seven. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 So here are my minifigs in question. They came with the 2006 X-Wing. So does anyone else think that this means the X_Wing will stay in production longer? Quote

So does anyone else think that this means the X_Wing will stay in production longer? No one could really ever tell, but if the updated minifigs are any indication, then it would be a safe assumption that this 6212 X-Wing will not be phased out anytime soon. I believe it is one of the best-selling sets, that's why it is still and continues to be in production. Quote

Pity their torsos weren't upgraded as well but thats asking too much I say they will be here for at least another year as there aren't many OT sets the coming year. Quote

It might be the final production run for this christmas, but it is likely that it will be available at least until summer. I wonder when Bricklink will list the Luke figure, Han is already there! Fallenangel Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 So nobody can help me, huh? Pity their torsos weren't upgraded as well but thats asking too much I say they will be here for at least another year as there aren't many OT sets the coming year. So is that their game? New sets for the Neo-Clone Wars kiddies and a lazy re-release for the older fans? Why won't LEGO release a better X-wing? It's not going to put them out of business doing it and they have a considerable amount of inspiration. There's a real question for ya. What, no new face for Wedge? Something's wrong here. Interesting to see that Luke has a new face but the same helmet. The same can be said for Han... and why is his coat still blue? Is that a pearl grey lightsaber he's got? Or is it chrome? Quote

I agree with your statement about Wedge, he's only the second best pilot in the movies and they release him as exclusive and he gets a smiley. Quote
The_Customizer Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 (edited) I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, (but it does have to do with Star Wars). A little while ago I say a topic It was something like 'Want a Star Wars Tag?...." or something like that, but now after looking and looking through here, I can't find it! Anyone know where it was? EDIT: I just found the thread. Sorry about that. Edited December 8, 2010 by The_Customizer Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 And I was just about to post a link to it. For future reference, KimT has done a good job of providing links to all the important threads in this forum in the Star Wars Forum Index. The Star Wars Tag thread is linked in the index. Quote
Blackknight112 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I have a chance to pick up 2 UCS AT-ST for 160€ (about 210 US$ a guess?), the sets are new, but the boxes are in bad condition. Do you guys think I should pick them up, or just one? Quote
Darth Yogi Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Is that a pearl grey lightsaber he's got? Or is it chrome? It looks chrome to me with the light reflecting off. Quote

Do you guys think I should pick them up, or just one? There is a thread for all your LEGO purchasing decisions here in the general forum, all members please take note. I'm sure the forum moderators would prefer it if all the "what should I buy" posts were in one place rather than all over the forum. Quote
Churchill Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Now that I know that the V-wing has a spherical Q7, I wonder if there is anyway to moc one... does anyone know of a piece that could be used to attach the head dome to another dome to reflect the repulsorlift section? Quote

With you bringing this to my attention I got out two R2 heads to find that one has a hole fitting to the round side of this piece while the other fit the crossed side. So depending on your domes you cold use any of these 3 pieces. 1,2, 3 Quote
Churchill Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 That's a great solution- I don't have two heads in front of me right now, and I need to dig around to find the technic pieces, but I want to try it. Does it make the two halves fit together snug, much like a true sphere? My concern was that a "conversion" piece would end up making it more like a cylinder than a sphere. Thanks Darth Yogi Quote

Thanks Darth Yogi It looks like a cylinder with rounded ends, more than a sphere. Quote

As others have said, you can use Technic to connectthe two, but the domes aren't hemispheres, so it won't make a perfect sphere. Quote
