Churchill Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 As long as the two domes are flush....I was thinking that a "disc" like piece to allow the switch would elongate it too much. I was really just curious if it could be done. I'll be surprised if I make one, let alone an army of them! Quote
Fallenangel Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 The piece could also hold your buzz droid halves together... ever since I saw 7252 Droid Tri-Fighter I had been wondering how to do that. Quote
BrickArtist Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Does anyone have a picture/Know where an online one is, of the AT-TE interior? The book of vehicles has a good picture, but I cant find that one online anywhere. EDIT:Sorry didn't mean to Quote. Edited December 12, 2010 by brickartist Quote

Googleing 'star wars cross sections at-te' got me: (thumbnail links to a larger pic) Found here, they actually have a bunch of the pics. Quote
Fallenangel Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Look, it's 'Cad Bane's Speeder'! Thanks Brickdoctor for the excellent online reference. I don't suppose you came across one with the illustrations from the Complete Cross-Sections? (TIE Bomber, Lambda-class shuttle, Imperial Star Destroyer, etc.) By the way, nobody's answered my question about the Falcon's landing gear... Quote

The taxi was in Ep. 1. I just Googled specifically for the AT-TE, not intending to find other ships. There are plenty of images out there if you search for them. Quote
doris b Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 My son has a Star Wars 8093 Jedi Starfighter but we cannot seem to attach the slanting wings to the main body. Can anyone tell us how to do this please? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 My son has a Star Wars 8093 Jedi Starfighter but we cannot seem to attach the slanting wings to the main body. Can anyone tell us how to do this please? I do not own the actual set, but basing on the online instructions and my experience in building JSFs, I think you shouldn't have any difficulty slanting the wings. The only reminders that I could make is make sure the click hinges are properly attached, starting from the 'flat' position, slant the whole wing assembly by one click, use some force if necessary. You should fairly do this step easily. Quote

Can anyone tell us how to do this please? Hmm same thing happened to me at first. Just double check the hinges are in the right position. Quote
The_Customizer Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 My son has a Star Wars 8093 Jedi Starfighter but we cannot seem to attach the slanting wings to the main body. Can anyone tell us how to do this please? You might want to go back through the steps leading up to the attachment, you might of just missed one piece, or put a piece on backwards or something. I did that with one set, I thought it was odd that the piece didn't attach fully, then I went through the steps again, and realized that a piece was backwards! So check that, it may be your problem! Churchill Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 Awhile ago, I asked about putting two astromech heads together to make a spherical droid. I finally found the right piece (thanks for the recommendations), and while it does look like a cylinder with rounded edges, it's not half bad. Considering that lego gives us the "sentry droid" as a minifig in the last landspeeder, can a cylindrical spherical astromech be that bad by comparison? Thanks everyone! Churchill Quote

Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 I think its too big...but i have no idea how big they are supposed to be so its just my opinion Well the standard astromechs are already too big, but if you want to scale the Q7 to the R2, they should be the same diameter, so I think the closest existing LEGO piece would be the soccer/basketball, but if you want a smooth surface you'd have to use a Zamor sphere. Unfortunately all three don't come in the right color. Quote

Churchill Are you saying the sentry droid design was bad or that it shouldn't have been in the set? It was there with the Sandtroopers when they were told these weren't the droids they were looking for. Quote

It was there with the Sandtroopers when they were told these weren't the droids they were looking for. It sounds more like he's dubious that the sentry droid is even considered a minifig. And I don't remember the droid being there in the original film, only in the re-released special edition. How I wish they would have both versions on DVD, so I can see the films as I saw them in the theater. Quote

If not, that sucks. I refuse to watch the new versions, I've not really got anything against them - it's a nostalgia thing. On the Landspeeder box-art the sentry droid is pictured as part of the minifig line-up - so I suppose TLG must consider it to be a minifig. Edited December 16, 2010 by Praiter Yed Quote

The collector's edition boxed set that comes with the graphic novel of the original comics has the original theatrical version on the bonus disk, but the only time I've ever seen one in the US is at a Walmart in Hawaii. They released a collectors tin here a few years ago. Me and my nerdy friends rushed out and paid top-whack for it because it was promoted as the ONLY time you will EVER be able to own the OT in it's original format on DVD. But subsequent releases have continued to contain both versions of the films - and it's currently on sale for £10 at ASDA (that's $16 and ASDA is owned by Walmart). Quote

I actually haven't seen a major DVD rerelease in the US for a while. The only current one I've seen is a trilogy set that comes in a cheap cardboard box from Costco, although I haven't wandered into a lot of Walmarts lately. Quote

We should thank our lucky stars here in the UK! Here's a little reminder for you guys; Han shoots first Boba Fett is not from New Zealand and Hayden Christensen is not in RTOJ EDIT: I suppose I'm going way of topic above. So I will add that I asked a while ago here if anyone had ideas when 10188 Death Star would be deleted. I've seen posts since mentioning that it was 'limited availability'. S@H UK now says back-orders accepted -expected ship date 12 Jan 2011. I can't imagine this means there will be a further production run - so I'm guessing stock may be shifted about from other countries. Anyone have experience of this? and is it a hint that it may soon be deleted? Edited December 16, 2010 by Praiter Yed Quote
Brickdoctor Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Actually I do know those facts since I bought the OT in the afore-mentioned collector's edition format Anyways, I'm thinking the production run has ended or they do a short one, and then he set goes out at the May the Fourth sale like the UCS MF did. I have the VHS special editions ones, but the 2006 version, which is still in my stores, has both the newest version and the original. I don't know about the three packs I've seen, though. Quote
