Brickdoctor Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 I doubt it, my walmart never had it so I ended up using my VIP points at Shop@Home.... I have a question, I discovered this on TRU online [snip] Are the tusken raider's head and torso legitimate LEGO pieces? Nope. Same plastic and quality as the Chrome C-3PO and Jango pen that's been making its rounds throughout the forums. Quote

BrickArtist Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 (edited) I watched the video fallen-angell linked earlier, here( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kt5cPK86I-4&feature=related ) At 9:10 through 9:15, we see a 212 trooper blasting crab droids, it appears he's got a Dc-15 blaster, yet it's fully automatic, what gun is this? Aren't the blasters single-fire? My other question is, what clone commanded knightfall? was it just Anakin? Edited December 22, 2010 by brickartist Quote

Commander Appo led Operation Knightfall, and remained in command of the 501st until he was killed on Kashyyyk. (see Dark Lord: the Rise of Darth Vader for that. Don't remember who killed him) A quick Wookieepedia lookup should answer any questions you have. I know in BF2, the blasters are automatic, albeit with a very slow rate of fire for an automatic weapon. This could just be game mechanics, given that all three BF2 assault rifles fire automatically at the same rate. It could just be that the clone is hitting the trigger very rapidly. Quote

It seems odd though, the visual dictionary says something about cody having a modified blaster, perhaps this is what that clone has, making it fully automatic? I dont BF2 is ever a good reference, very inconsistent with the movies. Quote

Wookieepedia says both the DC-15S and A models have a full auto setting in stock condition, but the S (carbine version) has a higher rate of fire. Quote
prateek Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Here's a question for all y'all: Why are clone helmets so commonly misprinted? I have 5 clones in front of me right now, and of those 5, 3 are misprinted. Either the grey dot on the chin is messed up, or the whole black visor printing is shifted 1-2 mm to either side. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 They get easily misprinted? I have over 80 standard clones, and I've never noticed a misprint. Then again I've never checked, either. 1 or 2 mm isn't a whole lot, although it is noticable by the naked eye. I wonder how easy it is for the helmets to get misaligned in the printing machine? Quote

Same here, except I've got all of 11 clones. I really would have thought the printing would be more accurate, but there is the know issue of the clone's pupils shifting, so it's definitely not impossible. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I've never really noticed the misprinted regular clone helmets. But I do have 10 or so gunners and about 6 of them have different shades of that brownish green on top. Quote

JimBee Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 That frigate looks fantastic, much better than the 2007 version. Not that I'll be buying it (SW prices go up again...), but it looks very interesting nonetheless. I wonder if TLG will include any exclusive figures, unlike the RGS-c and AT-OT. There wasn't really much incentive to get that set because all it had were clone troopers which were common by that time. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 Considering the expected high price, I would think they would put exclusive figs in the Consular Frigate set (like putting the then-exclusive Palpatine and Senate Commandos in the similarly-sized Venator set). But beware OT fans, this one would presumably the CW-type of Consular with the white-dark red stripes Republic colors, so the minifigs will be your hated CW-types. Some of the rumored figs that were thrown out there in the discussions were: - Yoda, Lt. Thire, Jek, Rys (clones with intricate prints) from the Ambush episode - Anakin, Admiral Yularen, Naval Officers - Aayla, Comm. Bly from the Jedi Crash episode - Quinlan Vos (?) These are just pure speculations, no hard evidence to back it up. Quote

Galactic Marine Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I'm always confused about the clone aerial trooper. Should the exhaust be dark or light blue? Quote
Matiam92 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Are you talking about the translucent pieces? If so light blue. If not I doubt anyone will know what you are talking about... I don't think this deserves its own topic... Just google it Quote

JimBee Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Actually, I did mean to post it there. That's what I get for having 50 tabs open at once. Sorry. Thanks for the response anyway, Kiel. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted December 25, 2010 Author Posted December 25, 2010 Now it's my time to ask for your opinions guys. I've recently decided not to buy the 7931 T-6 Shuttle Set and just purchased the minifigs of my interest, Shaak Ti and Saesee Tiin. I spent approx. $60 just for the two figs, against $120 if I bought the whole set (S&H inlcuded). I had a guilty feeling after making that purchase, thinking that I've just made a dumb decision. But with the current news of amazing 2nd wave sets of 2011, it seems I've made the right decision since the $60 that I've saved will be able to afford me some of the sets and/or select minifigs in the 2nd wave. I'm also planning on doing the same strategy for the 2nd wave, just buying the minifigs that I like and just passing off the sets themselves. My question is, is this buying strategy just ok? Is it a silly move purchasing the figs individually for insanely huge prices (like my $60-2 jedi example above)? Or is it still advisable to purchase the whole sets? (even if I don't really need/want them since I only want the new minifigs). (Some things to consider are I live in a remote country where Lego prices are 100% more expensive compared to the US/EU and I'm someone who has limited spending resources each year). Thanks! Quote
Ritz Brick Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Now it's my time to ask for your opinions guys. >snip< Could be good or bad, Seeing as how Magnets will be out of the question. Just getting all the minifigs seems like a good short term idea. But then in the long run....something may happen with you buying the whole set and getting double minifigs. and by then, the price going down. Happened to me with Mace Windu. Quote
