Piranha Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Does anyone know about when the Promo White Boba Fett will be distributed in the US and how? Thanks Quote
Brickdoctor Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Does anyone know about when the Promo White Boba Fett will be distributed in the US and how? It was distributed at ComicCon and LEGO Star Wars Weekend 2010, and 'Extremely Valuable S@H Customers' got one; don't know if they ever plan to do more than that. Quote
Walter Kovacs Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I'm not sure if this was answered yet or not. My apologies if it has. I know the LEGO/SW liscense has been extended beyond 2011, KimT has already confirmed that. But have we heard how long the extension is for yet? Quote
BrickArtist Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 It's been confirmed that though 2011-2020 star wars sets will be produced. Quote

That makes sense because 2010 was the 30th anniversary of ESB (right?) Quote

Ritz Brick Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Say TLC were to create a massive Lego Star Wars set, the largest set ever created and the only info we got on it was that it would be over $1,000. Would you still buy it? Quote

Would you still buy it? If it was the Executor, then yes. Otherwise, no. The only sets I could ever see this happening with is the Genosis Arena, with tons of minifigs and vehicles. Quote
Ritz Brick Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 but its more like the fact of spending $1,000 on a "toy". Quote
StoutFiles Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 but its more like the fact of spending $1,000 on a "toy". You'd get only AFOL's in that range. So, it wouldn't be a toy, it'd be a collectors item for display or just to hold value. The 1,000 range makes it that much more valuable since few could even afford it. Quote
Diggydoes Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 hi there, do ucs-sets usually get reduced shortly before they run out of production? i missed the ucs jedi starfighter while it was reduced but i def. won´t spend 99€ for 600+ pieces! thanks Quote
Blackknight112 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 (edited) Does anyone know if lego can choise what lsw set to make, or does lucas tell lego what set they can make? Edited March 10, 2011 by Blackknight112 Quote
HJR-Holland Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Does anyone know if lego can choise what lsw set to make, or does lucasa tell lego what set they can make? LEGO can decide what sets they want to make, but every set needs to be approved by Lucasarts first. Based on popularity, LEGO wil most likely stick to vehicles / figures from the Clone Wars cartoons and the 6 movies. In the past LEGO did produce vehicles from videogames and comics though... hi there, do ucs-sets usually get reduced shortly before they run out of production? i missed the ucs jedi starfighter while it was reduced but i def. won´t spend 99€ for 600+ pieces! thanks It all depends on supply and demand of course. Each LEGO product has a life cycle, and naturally LEGO produces products to (try to) cover the complete lifecycle. You can of course imagine that if a product is no longer available, but it's lifecycle ends a month later, LEGO would normally not choose to produce an extra batch just to fill up the remaining month. In other cases LEGO might end up with an unsold lot of products approaching the end of the life cycle. That would be the moment LEGO decides to clear out the stock, by offering the product on clearance. You can however not assume that these clearances occur as a 'standard' to certain types of products. Quote
Solscud007 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Is there any news on a collectors edition Clone Wars video game? I remember when Lego Harry Potter came out, there was a special edition version of the game. Quote

I remember when Lego Harry Potter came out, there was a special edition version of the game. I think that belongs here, or you might get a better answer faster at least. Does anyone know if lego can choise what lsw set to make, or does lucas tell lego what set they can make? HJH covered most of it, but I believe they even decide what figs to use in their model, they also don't build with pre-set part counts. Quote
Galactic Marine Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I was foolish enough to fiddle around with New Boba's blue arms for grey ones. When I switched them back to blue, the left ended up loose. I tried stuffing it in the fridge hoping that would help narrow down the hole but it didn't work. Any ideas with how I can save it other than buy a new torso? Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted March 13, 2011 Author Posted March 13, 2011 I'll transfer this to the Gen. Questions thread where it rightfully belongs. Quote

Zzz Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 Don't get this as a random rant please, it's an honest question. Why are there no phase 2 Clone Minifigs yet in 2011? They appear in season 3, though not as main character, but they do. I assume Lucas knows a bit in advance what to put into the seasons and I would say they brief TLC in advance with sketches, images etc. Why no phase 2 in 2011? (The lonely Clone in 8091 doesn't count cause it's obviously an E3 set.) Will we have to wait one year to see those minifigs and even another to get our hands on BPs? Quote

Well the only phase 2's are ARC troopers, and they would most likely appear in a BP, as they weren't in any episode with a big vehicle. (where they), then again since when did TLG care about characters appearing in certain episodes Quote

Well technically, the current TCW season 3 isn't still on Phase II (but nearing it). Like what Mr Man said, the Phase II-like helmets you saw are only for the ARC troopers, and the regular clones still sport Phase I helmets. I'm sure once the series goes to Phase II, expect these new helmets to go full blast in the sets. Quote

Yeah. considering how they're jumping around in the timeline, for all we know that episode could be from the furure. IMO the jumping timeline is sort of screwing over the clone wars Quote
Blackknight112 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 screwing over the clone wars Isnt that what the do by making the new cw show? The show does things that arent in line with the EU. Back on topic, Does anyone know why why the new 2010 boba Fett had light blue arms (It seems like he didnt have that collered arms in the movies) Quote
