Just had a quick search round and couldn't find answer - is there a good technique for removing keyrings from chain? I was under the impression they disconnected easily but after a initial tug they don't seem to budge. I guess the alternative is using a small hacksaw so any suggestions welcome on the best way to remove and then fill to look reasonably good.

Many thanks

I found a link to this Brickshelf tutorial on the Minifig Customisation Workshop forum.

Quick question,

Did all the clones follow order 66 or were there some that ran away?

It's for my Personal Rides Contest :classic:

As noted, not all clone troopers obeyed the Order. On Murkhana, Roan Shryne and Olee Starstone were rescued from Order 66 by members of a clone commando unit. Led by Climber, they initially questioned the validity of the order, and even upon confirmation, refused to side with the government over those who had fought alongside them, having developed an affinity for the Jedi. Omega Squad, Delta Squad, and Ordo Skirata did not even hesitate to disobey the order, though all of them feigned compliance to avoid suspicion, as they had already formed doubts about Palpatine and his new Centax Clones. Captain Maze, as well, did not execute Arligan Zey. In all other recorded instances, Commandos and ARC troopers obeyed it.[3]

I find heat to be better. Hold the fig in one hand and the ring of the keychain in a pair of pliers in the other. Place the chain (as close to the fig as you dare) in the flame of a candle and pull gently. After a few seconds, the pin will slip out!

I'm not sure if this was covered as I'm not going through the last 90 pages. But it was shown several times throughout the 2 trilogy that when someone is cut with a light saber, the wound are cauterized right away. Such as Anakin's hands during his fight with the Count in Ep 2.

But in Ep 4, ANH when an alien was causing trouble with Luke, and Obi Wan has to rescue Luke by cutting off the alien's arm, there's a lot of blood on the floor. Was there an "official" explanation why this case is different?

The correct answer is that Lucas didn't consider cauterizing until after those scenes were filmed.

The "official" answer is the angle of the cut, lightsaber energy levels, alien species being cut, etc. Whatever can be made up to have it all make sense, basically.

However, there are other instances of blood. If you watch Maul get stabbed, there is a mist of blood. It's better to not think about things like that, it'll drive you crazy.

Yeah, just accept the fact that the Star Wars films are chock full of retcons, both obvious (like this one) and implied (Luke and Leia as siblings).

Not to mention that CGI cauterization wasn't exactly the easiest think in the 1970s.

This has probably been A&A'd a million times so I apologize, but is there ANY chance the UCS Falcon will see a rerelease of any kind?

Most likely not. To date, no UCS set has been rereleased.

Wow Skafte! How easy was that?! Was a little sceptical at first but tried it with one of the figures I wasn't that bothered about and it worked after 3 seconds with just the small hole left in the head. Repeated on the new Boba and Aayla keychains and just as easy. Just need to decide whether to use a bit of polyfilla and paint or leave the hole as it is. Obviously not quite as good as the real figure but can't buy every set or get them all at expensive prices off ebay/BL! Thanks for the tip.

I have a question about the contests.

When someone comes up with the idea of an contest, will the rules of the contest be posted in an topic here at the Star Wars section of Eurobricks? And do I have to register on another website to post my pics there or will the contest take place only on this forum?

If I got your question right, members can suggest contest ideas in Watto's Junkyard Discussions, where the staff will put these ideas into consideration for possible future contests. Members cannot run their own contest here in EB without the proper coordination and approval of the staff.

Yes, that's the right answer on my question, thanks. :)

Alternatively:

Changes the meaning of the sentence doesn't it now?

Maybe more people need to read this.

You mean the 2012 Winter Wave? We'll probably see rumors later this year. (around August-September)
