Lego Otaku Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 This one probably can't be answered atm but what happens to Ahsoka between CW and Revenge of the Sith? Since RotS was released before CW and Lucas never considered Anakin having a padawan at that time, he created yet another one of the bazillion plot inconsistencies. I suspect we'd know her fate at the end of CW series. Possible fates include: 1: She was killed 2: She was expelled from Jedi 3: She was still his padawan and was left behind in the outter rim while Anakin and Obi Wan went to clean up the mess at Coruscant 4: Her apprentice was transferred to a different Jedi 5: She left Jedi Order due to conflict of interest Personally I think it's #3. A few (likely unreliable) sources suggested that more than 100 (possibly 200) Jedi were still alive at the end of Revenge of the Sith movie, all scattered across the Galaxy. Quote

This would probably be best asked in one of the CW threads in Culture and Multimedia. We really don't know. The majority of us hope she's killed. It's the best way to fit her into the storyline. In an interview published in the CW-edition TV Guide in '08, Eckstein said that "something happens to her" and she's not in Sith, but supposedly a fate hasn't been decided on. Quote
Oky Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 How does the new "crown" piece of the new Darth Maul look on the old (first) Darth Maul fig? A picture would be appreciated. Quote

As the Dr said, many possible arguments have been thrown around, particularly in the cartoon series topics in the Culture & Multimedia section. This question has nothing to do with Lego, this topic is about SW Lego questions. How does the new "crown" piece of the new Darth Maul look on the old (first) Darth Maul fig? A picture would be appreciated. I too would like to see this, I have considered skipping the new Maul and going for the old one & getting the Zabrak horns for him instead. I prefer the older face to the newer one. (those eyes are too close together... you know what they say about people like that ) I just noticed that the new minifig still hasn't been parted out for inventory on Bricklink. Quote

Ritz Brick Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Does anyone know if there is any life sized brick-built Star wars minifigures? Quote
Parrothead Rasmus Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Does anyone know if there is any life sized brick-built Star wars minifigures? I know for sure that there is a Darh Vader and R2-D2 at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center by Chicago. I'm sure that there are others though. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) I'm sure that there are others though. I've seen Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, Captain Rex, and Vader at LLC. Edited August 1, 2011 by Brickdoctor Quote

Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted August 3, 2011 Posted August 3, 2011 (edited) Umm, two questions actually: 1) When do the winter wave sets usually become available (in Europe)? I heard that October is the usual time. Correct? 2) I considered to add some magnet figs to my collection. What to think of them? Are they fully functioning? Can they be changed (torso/head etc.)? EDIT: Saw a Vader in my favored Galeria, too. It's about 4-5 feet tall and usually fixed to the gound. Looked as funny as impressive how he stood between a bunch of excited kids. ISDAvenger Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) I am currently undertaking a build and I have a few questions regarding scale building. So I am currently in the progess of building a 52(ish) inch long Mini Figured Imperial Star Destroyer and I wanted to run my calculations by some of you to see what you all think. This is what I did, I took the 1600m converted it to feet, then divided it by 52 inches. What I got was 101. I used the 101 to find the other dimensions of the ISD, ie width and height. This is what I came up with using the dimensions from Wookiepedia Length 1600meter = 5250 feet (5250/101)= 52in Width 1015meter = 3331 feet (3331/101) = 33in Height 448m = 1470 feet (1470/101) = 15in Scale is 1in = 101ft or 1212in Now from what I can figure my dimensions are fairly close. My concern is in regards to the height. The 10030 UCS ISD height was 16in (without the stand) and is a lot shorter in length then my model. Did Lego spoof their scale? Is my scale wrong and my math completely screwed up? I have the frame complete and I am having issues getting the right angle and height for the top and bottom plates. Rook was helpful, but I am looking for further guidance. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jake Edited August 4, 2011 by ISDIronClaw Quote

I am just wondering if my math for the height and width is correct for the length of scale that I am building. Quote
Fallenangel Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 The LEGO Group likes to throw proportions out of whack when working in the UCS scale, so if you've already consulted pictures of the studio model and adjusted your figures accordingly, I'm going to guess your calculations are correct. Quote
Illuwatar Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) Couldn't that just be a result of the limited amount of angles possible using Lego parts? The proportions of the ISD has been tuned to fit the available wedge plate types. Other angles needs some kind of interpolation, creating steps and jagged edges. If the model is large enough, this could work, but on the UCS ISD, it would be too visible. The UCS Falcon is a good example of a shape approximation, creating the sense of a circular hull with wedge plates... In your planned build that is 132 cm (in my measurements), interpolating the hull-lines in small steps could work. Give it a try... Edited August 4, 2011 by Illuwatar Quote
