Mr Man Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 Phase I: AOTC, CW series 1, 2, TCW series 1, 2, 3 Phase II: CW series 3, TCW series 4 I don't think the Phase I.5 really exists as such it seems to be a perfectly normal Phase II helmet but with a fin, maybe ARC troopers just love the fin. Fallenangel Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I know, there is a lot of conflicting SW canon out there (with holes big enough to fly a Death Star trough ) but until now i thought Lucasfilm had always shown consistency regarding technical terms and designs. LOL According to this canon source, Brickadeer is correct. Quote
TristanJones Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Does anyone think the STAR WARS UNIVERSE could be expanded a bit more to include KOTOR--that EBON HAWK would make a good counterpart to the MF as well as a Sith Fighter and other ships, also a broadening of the SW Universe for those of us that love the genre of KOTOR. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 What do you mean by the Star Wars Universe? Are you asking if LEGO Star Wars should expand to have some KOTOR sets? As I see it, the KOTOR is already in the Star Wars Universe. Quote
simonjedi Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 if LEGO Star Wars should expand to have some KOTOR sets? Pretty much this I think. I agree that LEGO should expand into more EU sets, I've read somewhere they don't sell well though. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Well, there's a rumor of an Old Republic Starfighter for this coming summer, so that might be KOTOR-era. It probably ties into the Old Republic game; I'm don't know too much about the different timelines. I don't think LEGO will ever release a large amount of EU sets, or even more than one at a time, but they have been constantly making them at a slow trickle. It's unreasonable to hope that LEGO will start producing more sets based on material that is just not as well known as the films and CW show, but you can expect some new EU sets every once and a while. TristanJones Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Why did you post this twice? I had no idea I posted it twice, my apologies. Yes, Expanded Universe I guess would be the appropriate term. Thank you all for straightening that out, sorry if it sounded confusing. I meant it more to include KOTOR withing the Lego SW Universe. There have been some really great Ebon Hawks on brickshelf.com I would just really love to see that one set alone but I know it would run a bit. Im sure a KOTOR fighter would be a nice welcome, perhaps even just some 3 packs of figures. Quote

Instead of hoping for Expanded Universe sets The LEGO Group will never make, we should just stick to making our own... they usually turn out better that way anyway. If all you're looking for is a LEGO Ebon Hawk, Brickdoctor managed to reverse-engineer the MINI I linked to. On that note, has no one MOCed the 'original' TIE Defender? All the MOCs I've seen are of the Essential Guide version. Edited November 18, 2011 by fallenangel309 Quote

I'd like some Shadows of the Empire sets, but its time has passed. Quote

I would love to see some KOTOR related sets, such as the swoop bike and the vehicles parked in the upper levels of Taris. But angel is right, it's not realistic. They go for the profit, and are not out there so satisfy a bunch of AFOLS, even though we are an significantly part of the SW customers. If we can make better stuff than TLG? Hell yeah! Fallenangel Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 What type is the TLG one? The Essential Guide version. The original from TIE Fighter has broader pylons and significantly different wing panels. If not, there's a project for another day... Quote
aoxoa Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Hi, I was just wondering how much longer the Death Star would be availible? Quote
Fallenangel Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Someone already bought it. Honestly, though, this has been asked many times, and I don't think anyone really knows. Going off the usual time sets are in production, 10188 should be gone by next year or so, but given its popularity, it may be around longer. Quote
President of Brick Town Posted November 26, 2011 Posted November 26, 2011 Hello, I just found out that Anakin's new hairpiece is cool on making good custom minifigs but the SW sets sells in Indonesia for obscene amounts of cash . So I need an alternative, I know you'll probably say BRICKLINK!!! I know, but anything SW related there sells for very high prices, even for a SW minifig leg Is the particular hairpiece avaible in any other sets from different themes? Or did Lego never released the piece out from SW? Quote

So if you are desperate, it looks like ebay or brick link are your only hope. Kaitan Quote
Thea Neotera Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 So I see lots of people saying that their models are either minifigure scale or UCS scale. I know what the former means, but I was under the impressions that only TLG makes UCS models and that they vary in scale. I mean... look at the MF compared to the recent SSD. So what does "UCS Scale" actually mean? Quote
Anio Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 (edited) So I see lots of people saying that their models are either minifigure scale or UCS scale. I know what the former means, but I was under the impressions that only TLG makes UCS models and that they vary in scale. I mean... look at the MF compared to the recent SSD. So what does "UCS Scale" actually mean? In the Lego Star Wars universe, speaking of scale is nonsense. You just do not care of the scale. You build a model. If you can put a minifig in it, then the model is minifig scaled. It's that simple. As for "UCS scale", if the model is very detailed, then the model is said "UCS scale". That's it. Here is a very simple example : 10179 is a minifig scale model. But 4504 too. Yet, both models do not do the same size. Indeed, 10179 is also UCS scaled. You see, in the Lego system, the scale is more a concept, an idea, than anything else. Edited November 27, 2011 by Anio Quote
Brickdoctor Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 UCS - Unable to Choose a Scale Kaitan That's hilarious. If it wasn't for the fact that all you posted was a definition, I would blog it. Quote
Kaitan Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 This is one of my bugbears. UCS isn't a scale at all. UCS stands for Ultimate Collectors Series, something that only TLG can produce and sell. Anything that proclaims to be UCS that isn't a set from TLG is just a well built,(in most cases) highly detailed, MOC. MOC's are not rare collectable sets. Kaitan Quote
