But weight is the same like real ones! Quote

Huntleyfx Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 I'm sorry, but the quality looks like someone spray painted the original figures (the bubbling and deformation would definitely be symptoms of this.) Quote
Werlu Ulcur Posted December 4, 2011 Posted December 4, 2011 Most sets are System, and most of those are within the acceptable range for minifigure scale. MOCs are all over the place. System comes from what The LEGO Group used to label sets that were designed to be compatible with minifigures: I'm not sure why everyone keeps adding '-scale' to the end of it, though. That makes a whole lot of sense. Thanx for the info! Quote
Mr Man Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) I have some question! I bought it on Ebay, the seller said that it is one of two gold chrome lego Boba... But I don't believe it! Friends, could you help me - is it fake or not? It also came with plated silver. You could read about them there. My friends from our russian forum say that it is fake... What do you think about it? Thank you. Promotional Gold, Silver and Bronze Bobba Feet's where all made but these are fake, as far I'm aware only 1 of the gold and silver ones where made and 6 or so of the Bronze, the quality of these ones look terrible, so I would say they are fake. Edit: Make that 2 of each for all three. Edited December 5, 2011 by Mr Man Quote
StoutFiles Posted December 5, 2011 Posted December 5, 2011 I'm 99% certain that the SDCC Bobas were solid metal. They were. They also came framed with a certificate of authenticity. Considering how much they'd be worth, you'd never find them in some wishy-washy eBay auction. Quote
Diggydoes Posted December 15, 2011 Posted December 15, 2011 I'm wondering how long Obi's UCS starfighter 10215 will be on the shelves! It seems like for the MSRP it's not really selling well,so could it be that they stop the production soon? Somehow i feel like this could be a set that goes up in value when discontinued what do you all think? Quote

However, you may be right in that if enough people don't buy this set before it's discontinued, then supply and demand dictates that it should be worth a little extra in the future. Quote

In addition to that the UCS line has predominately been *understandably* targeted at the OT crowd... as it's seen that the appeal *and money* isn't as strong with the general younger PT crowd. However as the younger PT fans grow up I can imagine that this set (particularly if it is true that it isn't selling well, and rarer as a consequence) will garner a surge in demand as the younger fans grow up and have more money to spend, and this set in particular will have a sudden catchet to it. Well, I'd consider myself an OT fan. I do not like most of the UCS sets, however. I simply do not find sets that are not designed for minifigures attractive. That's the reason why I'd never buy this starfighter, no matter how much the price drops. Quote

Brickadeer Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 (edited) I always liked the Stormtroopers marching through Mos Eisley in order to prevent the Millenium Falcon from escaping and the concluding firefight in the hangar. Plus, I have not yet seen any decent pictures from the firefight in the Death Star prison (after Leia was freed and before the junk yard was entered). edit: Oops, episode 6. Well, I liked Leia and Wicket sitting on the tree before they were ambushed by imperial scouts. Edited December 21, 2011 by Brickadeer Quote

Lobot Posted December 22, 2011 Posted December 22, 2011 This is probably a bit of a stupid question, but has anyone managed to make a circular based platform with Lego?! If so, any suggestions would be really appreciated. I want to build a display for my new 7965 Falcon & have always loved the Cloud City scene. The only problem is that it's very round!! I've started working on the entrance as below. Cheers, Robin Quote

Ceroknight Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 At Costco Canada, they are selling the General Grevious Ship for 29.99 rather then the 69.99, a fantastic deal. I'm thinking of getting another one, but I don't think I'll open it... Do you guys think it will be worth alot in the future? Quote

It's pretty easy to make one bigger or smaller than that base using these pieces: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and 8 Hope this helps! Quote
