Darth Nihilus Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Okay, I have a really retarded question. Is there a list of TOR ships anywhere that I can refer to for reference for MOCs? I just got back to my collection, so I need ideas, and I really love TOR. Quote

Ta-da! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/TOR#app_vehicles At Costco Canada, they are selling the General Grevious Ship for 29.99 rather then the 69.99, a fantastic deal. I'm thinking of getting another one, but I don't think I'll open it... Do you guys think it will be worth alot in the future? Yes, but only because of the General Grievous and Nahdar Vebb. The ship looks great on display as well. My question: When will the Hoth Battle Packs be taken off of shelves? They're on clearance at my local Target right now. Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 My question: When will the Hoth Battle Packs be taken off of shelves? They're on clearance at my local Target right now. The Hoth Battle Packs are also on clearance at Walmart. I think most retailers are going to be clearing the shelves of these particular Battle Packs since they've been on the shelves for 2 years now. Need to make way for the new BPs and 2012 sets. I'm sure Toys R Us will continue to have some of these. They tend to have older sets that are discontinued elsewhere. I still find the Clone Walker and Assassin Droid Battle Packs on their shelves and those were released 3 years ago. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 Question: Is 7868 Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter officially discontinued? - It's only been on shelves here in the U.S. for approximately 6 months. - Walmart put this set on clearance after the Holidays. - It is no longer available at U.S. Shop at Home. Quote
The_Chosen_1 Posted January 2, 2012 Posted January 2, 2012 I didn't realize it was gone at S@H as well...all clues seem to indicate that yes, it is being discontinued. I think the price on this set will jump significantly on the secondary market if that's the case. Quote
Huntleyfx Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 I agree, but it was always overpriced to begin with. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Thanks for confirming what I was already thinking. I may pick up an extra set for future trade fodder. Quote
jmagaletta Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 This is just a general question. I was wondering if anyone has modified and Arc-170 fighter (8088 or 7259) into an X-wing style republic fighter? It is a moc i am thinking of doing since i don't need two Arcs in my collection and looking for some ideas. Quote
Brickadeer Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Does anyone know or may make an educated guess why the security droid in set 7877 Naboo Starfighter is different from the security droid in set 9494 Anakin's Jedi Interceptor? Quote

I don't know I was expecting them to be the new printed droids, I don't think it's cost because the BON set had printed Pilot Droids in. Quote

If so it's probably better making it from scratch, the shaping of it isn't really anything like the ARC, Z-95, or X-Wing, apart from little details. Quote

Darth Dino Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hi I am looking for a SW mindmap that explains "all" important characters of EP 1 to 6. I would like to explain the plot to somebody that is pretty new with the movies (first time). E.g. Palpatine, Sith, once senator, then cancelor, then imperator. For the first time it is hard to understand why he should pushed or initiated the separatists and their droids. It seems he is setting up an army against himself, but in fact he gives the republic the reason to get "himself" an army too, the clones. Is there a graphical overview thatexplains the plot and characters? Thanks Dino Quote

Is there a graphical overview thatexplains the plot and characters? Thanks Dino Senator Palpatine is from Naboo. The actions of the Trade Federation provide him with the opportunity to initiate a notion of no confidence (Misstrauensvotum) against the current chancelor. Since he acted to protect Naboo, his home planet, his actions had to appear pretty reasonable to every observer. Ultimately, he made it to become chancelor himself. What he now had to do is (1) to accumulate more power (2) without drawing the attention of the Jedi order to himself. The war of the Republic against the Seperatists served these two interestets: it generated opportunities to accumulate more power, and the Jedi had to turn the attention to winning the war. For Palpatine, however, it simply didn't matter who'd win the war, he'd be the leader of the winning army anyway, so he was in a win-win situation and could focus his attention to other things, e.g. Anakin Skywalker. If I remember correctly Dave Filoni said somewhere that Jedi are no warriors or generals, and that by making war they were endangered to becoming something different. If this is correct, the war focused the attention of the Jedi order at least partially to itself. edit: No, I do not know such a mind map. Edited January 9, 2012 by Brickadeer Quote
Darth Dino Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hi Thank you for explaining Palpatine so detailed, but i am looking for a overview of all important characters in a very short description that gives me keywords to stick on. The keywords that i have written for Palpatine as example are detailed enough. I might be something like a family tree. I had to laugh about your Misstrauensvotum. :) Dino Quote
Fuppylodders Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Hey people, I was wondering if anyone has a parts list for the UCS Y-Wing (10134)... After seeing the latest release, I'm feeling a little deflated in getting it (minifigs are awesome though), mostly because I think I would prefer such an iconic ship to be more to scale... I'm toying with the idea of making one, but Im wondering if it would work out cheaper to buy a complete one, or parts from a parts store... Many thanks in advance :) Quote

In 1000+ pages it gives a brief description for SW every character that exists (even in EU) up to 2009 (if I'm not mistaken). Either that or you have to go the long way of watching the films and taking notes Do people think that Lego might one day releasea Kaminoan minifigure? With the whole multitude of clones we are getting it would be nice to have a couple of Kaminoans. They have been featured in quite a few episodes of Clone Wars too which means that they havegot more show time than a lot of some of the characters Lego has released so far. Quote
jmagaletta Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Actual I mean making a Moc of an unexisting ship. taking cues from the x-wing and arc and bridging the gap between the two more. I know the z-95 does this but it is not what i am looking for. Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Actually, the Z-95 precedes both craft canonically. I don't think the ARC-170 and X-wing are similar at all - the only thing they really share is the use of S-foils (and even then, the mechanisms of both are very different). Quote

If you look at the wikia pages for both the Arc and the X-wing. The X-wing is a decendant of the Arc. The the Z 95 does come before both, but not the the Clone Z-95 http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Clone_Z-95_starfighter Quote
Fallenangel Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) You test my patience by stating the painfully obvious. The canonical 'predecessor' story would be more believable if the ARC-170 wasn't such a crazy ship. I always did find three copilots and six wings rather excessive - in fact, there was a review of Sith I read a few years back saying that what 'ARC' really stood for was 'Amazingly Retarded Concept'. There was an illustration that went with the phrase, but I can't seem to find it at the moment... Back on topic, a quick Google search yields this. Edited January 9, 2012 by Fallenangel Quote
