II5hyena Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Which set took you the longest to build? Mine would probably be Muaka & Kane-Ra from bionicle. It took me a long time and it gave me the worst case of "Technic Hand" I've ever had. Quote
Legonardo Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 helms deep, because i bought 2 and opened every bag from the two sets and dumped them in 1 tub, that took freaking ages Quote
eurotrash Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Probably the Town Hall. It's a really enjoyable build, but man it took a long time.... Quote
CMP Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The original AT-AT. Took several Saturday mornings over a month, with the help of my father. And broke a matter of hours after it was finished. Quote
New_guy Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Two weeks ago I bought a used Death Star. It was shipped unsorted and packed in large Ziploc freezer bags. Finding the proper pieces for each step in the build took forever. Quote
Alfadas Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 In my case it is my biggest set, the Death Star. It took me about 12 hours, without brakes of course. Quote
Mr Breden Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 The T1 Camper Van, took me about four hours with breaks. Quote
CardinalBricks Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 helms deep, because i bought 2 and opened every bag from the two sets and dumped them in 1 tub, that took freaking ages Well, that was a smart idea!! Quote

bacem Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 witch doctor. yes, i know. not as big as the other. Quote
CM4Sci Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Either the Tower of Orthanc or the Ewok Village, both which I received for my birthday! -Sci Quote
Off the wall Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Tower bridge.....it was my third lego build.....bags containing pieces (over 4000 pcs) not numbered......I needed new glasses....didn't have an adequate work space. Quote
Kumpelkante Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 For me it was the MMV, because the bags had not been numberes but sorted by colour. Quote
II5hyena Posted October 13, 2013 Author Posted October 13, 2013 witch doctor. yes, i know. not as big as the other. For me it seems like technic/bionicle/hero factory sets take longer to build than system sets take. Quote
N-4K0 Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 For me, 42009 Mobile Crane MK II. Including parts sorting, I spent around 17,5 hours over 3 days to build it. Quote
Legonardo Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 ? Well, that was a smart idea!! Thank you! Im glad someone recognises my intellegence Quote
PenPlays Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Fire Brigade. Took nearly 5 days due to confined space, and my stupidity in not sorting the pieces. Quote
jonwil Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 From memory it was likely the Sydney Opera House (its the largest LEGO set I own). Although the Grand Emporium and HP Diagon Alley are also up there in complexity. Quote
TheWarden Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Dunno, probably the used (I usually don't sort) AT-AT or Mil Falcon (minifig versions) that I own. I spread the joy over a week I think. QAR took a few days but it was new in numbered bags. Quote
dr_spock Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 The 8110 Unimog took a me a couple days of on/off building. Quote
ep3_lol Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 (edited) Probably Orthanc for me. I didn't keep track of how long it took, but it sat on my kitchen table in partial states of assembly for more than a week with me averaging maybe 30-45 minutes a day on it. So 6-8 hours. I've also built the Williams F1 car but that was some years ago and I completed it in a day, so I'm not sure if it's got Orthanc beat or not. Edited October 14, 2013 by ep3_lol Quote
XtheTyphlosion Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 I think it was..That one Airport from 2006 - 2007.. (I think thats what year it's from.) Quote
Cwetqo Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 10179 Millenium Falcon. It took me around two weeks of 2-3 hours each night building. Quote
