Tower Bridge, about 12 hours. But I deliberately kept quite slow building pace and didn't sort the pieces first and built the sections in parallel as I wanted to enjoy constructing it as much as possible.

Probably the Green Grocer. Emptied each bag into it's own pile, an hour in, with good momentum, got stuck looking for one piece. After minutes of searching, getting more and more agitated, through a 5yr-old temper tantrum and mixed all the pieces together. I immediately found the piece, but resumed building at snail crawl. All in all, it took 4-5hrs to build over 3 days. Moral of the story: I now separate pile by color :classic:

The longest build for me was the Cafe Corner, but it was not bought as a set, it was bicklinked. My longest actual set was either the Grand Emporium or the Fire Brigade. Both took about 7 to 8 hours over three days.

The imperial flagship. I started at 4 pm on a friday evening and finished at around 3:30 saturday morning. There were no numbered bags and it was the first set i got after coming out from my dark ages so you can say that I was a bit rusty.

When building large sets I would often run into this problem :wall: , and I only started sorting after realizing stuff like that wouldn't happen if I sorted in the first place.

In terms of hours, probably the 10179 Millenium Falcon. In terms of how much time passed, the Grand Carousel 10196 which was spread over maybe 3 months (don't know why so long -must have been busy with other stuff)

It was either the Modulars or 10225 R2-D2. I typically take at least 2 days to build the big sets, depending on my mood, and fingers of course.

I also built it in parallel  . I got it from the shop on Sat morning and built it in the same day... well, not really the same day since I finished it sunday mornig at 4...

...This is when I started to sort, too. It takes time; but, beats these moments. I sometimes yell at my bricks...

Oh...the longest I've spent on an actual set would be Tower Bridge - I built it through the entire night from 3pm to about 5am the next morning. Fun build

The 42009 so far, 3 evenings. And just as long to take it apart again, not counting the time my fingers needed to heal.

Next time I get a big set I'm mixing the bags.

Eiffel Tower, without a doubt. Mostly dull gray pieces and tricky building techniques on the lower level. However, despite its monochromatic nature, it's my favorite and the most impressive as it does what it's supposed to do.....tower over everything else.

Taj Mahal...four days as a family build w hubby, son home from uni and myself mainly sorting. Then a full day for hubby to build wooden base containing lighting wires that operate from a switch on the wall. It looks wonderful, and we all had a part in it!

Sentai fortress, it took a freaking week, but in my defense, I didn't know the bags were numbered at the time, and I was a noob at the time. My reward was the knowledge of how it's built permentaly imbedded in my memory.
