Is it just me or do the wheels look rather small in the renders?

They are a bit small, yes.

Since these renders are made directly from the CAD file which uses very precise geometry, I can assure you that the render reflects the correct size of the Lego tires and wheels. On the other hand, the suspension is not compressed in the CAD file and the flexible axles used for the fender are not quite right, so this can give the illusion of different tire size.

UAU !!! .... the car is mind-blowing ..... excellent job on renders Blakbird ...... what was the part count, and was the car build with any rare parts?

You misunderstood me, I think the tires used are a bit small for a car that size. But then again, there aren't any bigger ones available.

OK, I understand. Yes, I agree that the rear tires especially are a bit small for scale. There are larger tires from the Silver Champion but they are too big.

Part count is about 4000, but you'll have to wait for Sheepo to provide more specific information. White parts in general tend to be more difficult to get than other colors.

I think those have more or less the same diameter right? Just broader.

That makes sense. But I have seen some renders before, which also had a twixed perspective regarding the wheels. But I am to lazy now to look for an example.

I'm not sure what it is about some of these pictures that gives such an optical illusion, but I have heard it remarked before that the front wheels look smaller than the rear wheels. Yet if you hold a ruler up to your screen and measure, you will see that this is not the case. I think this may be a matter of perspective. If you photograph a model from a short distance, you get perspective which makes the rear wheels appear smaller. But if you render with the camera at a very long distance, they are both the same size which is actually different than what you expect.

Fantastic news...

@Sheepo: at your website you write the following regarding this instructions:

"Build this car is very hard, if you have never built a Lego Technic set, I recommend you to do it first. Doing that is not necessary but it will help you later when you built the Land-Rover

<...>

Also you must think that the pieces are not perfect, so the gearbox are not 100% reliable, it should make good around the 90% of the speed changes"

I'm now refering to the bold marked parts: is this copied from the Land Rover description and is therefore the warning about the reliability of the seq. gearbox here? Or with other words: is this also true for the Shelby gearbox or is this just a copy&paste-error? ;)

Thanks a lot for your efforts and this awesome car and instructions!
