First of all, i am sorry if such a topic exists, and if so, plecase close this one.

I was wondering what set do you intend of buying in the near future, or perhaps what would you like to buy. For me, it is set 8285 Tow Truck, i hope i will get it by the end of this month so i can complete my truck collection made by UW (9397 and 8258 i already have).

9397 will be ashamed standing next to 8285 ;)

I am waiting for 1h2014 sets, especially for the plane. In meantime I am getting third 10220 soon - but that's not technic (but in my opinion it should be Model Team instead of Creator).

I got 42006 Excavator and 42009 Mobile Crane MK II this month, next month 9396 Helicopter and perhaps a couple 42007 Moto Cross Bike. Then on December some Bricklink orders and no more Technic until the new 2014 sets are available.

Inbetween a couple SW UCS models and Mindstorms EV3, depending on funds.

42006, 42008 and 42009 are waiting to be bought once local shops get 40% discounts (local prices are S@H+20%).

42010.

Although I would love to build 42009, I think I have enough bulk of Technic for MOCing already, I will buy only some parts or small sets with parts not available elsewhere for some time.

I'm waiting for the 1h2014 sets too. If I find a few deals on sets I can use for parts I might grab them. But nothing until the 1h roll out.

Build this time:

9398 two times (my daughter want one..........)

42009 original then change to the ultimate version MOC (Jurgen)

Zorex-220 excavator MOC (Jurgen)

Next few month:

Defender 110 MOC (Sheepo)

42008 (but not green rather red)

8043 excavator

Supercar MOC (I have not decided which one)

If i have enough parts my own creations

Hey!

I haven't bought any Lego in 20 years or so, so this week I got crazy and bought,

8110 Unimog

8043 Excavator

8258 Crane Truck

And then I bought pieces and parts from EBay for about 1k dollars.

So I have a little bit of work in front of me :)

I'll get the 42009 as well, but I have enough for now! :)

There's a really good deal in a toy store here this weekend only, Helicopter 9396 for only EUR 59,99.

I wasn't planning on buying antyhing soon (i got the 9398 crawler not too long ago!) but this deal has got me thinking... should I?

I guess your dark age is over now :laugh:

Nice catch! Those are iconic sets. Well done.

Welcome to EB by the way. Great to "see" new faces!

To be honest, i really like 9397, it has a nice design but i am sure it will not be as beautiful as 8285. I promise i will make some photos when i will have both sets. When i got into Technic, 2 years ago, i was all about construction equipment, but when i got 8258 Crane Truck i decided to collect all Technic trucks. Quite an expensive hobby ...

I saw it too. Very nice deal for an awesome model!!

I've got three copies of this set. Need I say more

Do it!

I have to agree. It's a great set, even if you just buy it for parts.

Thank's!

I'll introduce my self in that thread tomorrow!

Maybe I'll even show some MOC's?!

8258 is the only one I kept. The others just fade in comparison. 8285 is too simple, and 9397 too flimsy. Just my 2 cents though.

I haven't built any new sets in a while. My last build was Crowkillers Vampire GT back in June. I still have an unopened 41999 that i need to build. My future sets are the new cargo plane, 42009, and another supercar MOC

8258 if i can ever get one at a reasonable price. Probably the rest of the 2013 sets i don't have and the new 2014 sets :)

8480 and in the near future will buy 42009 and 10234. When will move to new house will finally put together all my 35 technic sets :sweet: :sweet:

Where are you from?

The local toystore here has one (1) 8258 left for 195 euros!

It's in Oskarshamn Sweden.

I picked up mine in about 1 hour ago! :)

I will buy 42009 for sure and convert it to RC.
