The Dark Thunder by Kosmas Santosa, on Flickr

This is my first moc post in EB, I have read the rules but still if I'm doing anything forbidden or wrong please let me know :)

The Story:

The rider's name is Chris aka Wrench, he is a brilliant mechanic and the one who made the bike. It was made a year after his wife and 5 years old only son died in a horrible event. He made this hoping to find new purpose and bury his deep torturing grieved by going to new places and finding new challenges.

The bike itself are made to endure long journey and various terrain and made with a very strong yet light material main chassis which is great as the main based in case there will be needed custom necessity for the bike to be added in the future.

The name 'Dark Thunder' came from the extremely loud and intimidating sound of the bike that you can recognize miles away, for sure it can be a good news for his friends and a very bad news for his enemy when they heard the sound of the Dark Thunder.

The Build:

I build this actually for an entry of BrickFanatics moc MF Vehicle Madness, which you can find in here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kosmassantosa/10273153116/

It is build to fit a regular minifigure without any modification technique on the minifig to sit there.

Since it's minifigs size so I still can reuse this moc to fit and fill my Lego city's street...yippeee :)

Cool! I really like this build - although it will look huge next to some of the smaller cars ;)

You've captured a lot of details, and there is some very clever parts use!

Very cool bike you have made there and I like that it has a back story, even if it does seem a little sad (not everything in life is happy!). I don't know much about bikes but it looks right and I think you have managed to fit in plenty of detail into such a small MOC! Good work on the minifig too :classic:

Great work and happy building

Thanks Bregir, really appreciate it :)

And yes, you're definetly right...lol...For small car from official LEGO set, but if it stand with all my cars moc which all are made with 6 studs width, it's quite alright though still looks a bit bigger, since the bike size best with 7 width studs cars, the ideal IMO for a mfig size car :)

I  the chopper, all the detailing in it is just AWESOME 'kosmas' and Brick On Ride On !

Thanks lightningtiger, really appreciate it :)

Since it's black it's quite hard to capture all the detail actually :( But the thing is I love black...T_T

What an awesome motorcycle! And also great "badass" driver

Thanks hench, really appreciate it :)

And more precisely, "badzod' driver...lol

Oh this is great! Well played sir!

:classic:

Thanks robuko, really appreciate it :)

It looks excellent! Plenty of lovely detailing and well executed.

Thanks for sharing it with us and good luck in the competition!

Thanks eurotrash, really appreciate it :)

Winning nor losing doesn't matter, love the play and build time more then the competition actually...lol

Yeah, the story a bit ironic :( but actually that's the background story before he became a monster fighter and a hero in here: http://www.flickr.co...sa/10273153116/

Hahahaha...though it's just a makeup story, but I love a story behind a moc, feels more character and more real for me...lol

VERY cool! reminds me of this:

Thanks Werlu Ulcur, really appreciate it :)

Yes it very similar, my friend also told me it look a bit like Ghost Rider bike if put a chain or fire on it...lol

Do the wheels move on it?

Yes, the wheels move on but not as smooth as it should, since I'm not planning that to be play, but to stand firm still in my LEGO city :)

But definitely with few modifications, the wheels sure can move smoothly if you want, I guess anything possible in LEGO world...lol
