Somehow I missed this when it was first posted, so thanks for others keeping a steady flow of comments to keep it relevant.

I think this is a set that can work as either a corner or a non-corner. A corner Palace Cinema in the Country Club Plaza in KC, MO is just a blocked corner with no architectural detail really, so this Palace Cinema works well either way.

I have considered doing this to this building also and I really like how it ended up being. I really love the lobby area and I will definitely copy your main stairs and red carpet tiling. I like the box office area. I'd make the concession stand a little bigger in my own version. And I think I will only have one set of stairs going up to the theater to allow more room for the viewing room and maybe make an addition little projector area.

But overall great job here. I really like how it looks. I was really impressed by the official set at first, then I started to dislike it since it isn't in the same design as the others, but I'm warming up to it again.

I have also changed the Cafe Corner into a reverse corner and I was considering doing a Green Grocer in a corner style. Just make the window area the corner angle.

Either way, keep up the great work!

Wow! It's beautiful!

I have a misb 10232 set and i was thinking to follow your idea!

But I'm in trouble with it because i need instructions and list to reach the loose part...

Can someone give me help? :classic:

Thanks everyone for the nice feedback!

I estimate that there are about 600 additional parts in the MOD (mostly from BrickLink) - mainly dark tan bricks, a lot of tiles and other parts for the details (stairs, windows, lamps, chairs, etc.). And I had some leftovers from the set that I didn't use.

I Know that probably it seems strange but in the night i can't close my eyes because i'm always thinking about the way to build this mod!

Please can you help me with a part list and instructions (or more detailed photos)?

I'll pay you! :sweet:

What you mean with "reverse corner"?

Are you talking about an "L" shaped building?

WOW.

How do you know, which parts you need, before building. Do you build it on LDD?

Do you have a list of the extra parts?

I think I would very much like to build your model.

Way more than the original one!

^Yes, it is an L shaped corner instead of an exterior corner. It'd be as if the block wasn't a through street, but instead looped around. It is really neat looking and different enough that it caught my eye.

The downside with any of these mods is finding the right pieces to fill in the rest.

As far as Palace Cinema, mostly you'd need extra dark tan bricks for the back. So just find out how much you need to get the shape right.

Thanks again, everyone. I didn't do it with LDD, just built it and kept ordering missing parts from Bricklink. So there are unfortunately no instructions and no parts lists. But starting with the built original you should be able to work it out. The additional parts were mostly dark tan bricks, tiles and some tan plates for the bigger floors.

@TheLegoDr: Any chance to see pictures of the reverse corner Cafe Corner?

This is amazing, like others have said its just as good and in many ways better than the original. I'm going to give it a try once I build it the original way first.

Since everyone is asking and you said you kept placing orders on Bricklink, maybe a list (even partial) of the additional parts that were ordered for your build would help. Though I realize this thread is 2+ years old now. But again, fantastic mod.
