CM4Sci Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) New 2014 LOTR summer wave sets: $12.99 The Mirror of Galadriel $25.99 Amon Hen Ambush $40.00 The Defence of Osgiliath $60.00 Witch King showdown $120.00 The Battle of Minas Tirith Can't say where I have this info right now, more info shortly. I'm looking at some prelim pics now, The Mirror of Galadriel: seems to have Frodo in plain shirt and Galadriel. Amon Hen Ambush: 2 Uruk Hai, Boromir, and Merry I think. The Defence of Osgiliath: 2 Orcs, 1 Knight(Gondor soldier), and maybe a Ranger? I think. Witch King showdown: Witch King, Theoden, Rider of Rohan(Eowyn), White Horse, and a Nazgul. The Battle of Minas Tirith: Gandalf, 2 Knights(Gondor soldiers), 4 Orcs? A troll, and maybe Pippin? From the 2013 thread. Let's just hope that this wasn't a trick like last year's list. -Sci Edited October 19, 2013 by CM4S
just2good Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 If mods/regulators feel this is too early, I understand, but we just got this post in the 2013 LOTR and Hobbit set topic: New 2014 LOTR summer wave sets: $12.99 The Mirror of Galadriel $25.99 Amon Hen Ambush $40.00 The Defence of Osgiliath $60.00 Witch King showdown $120.00 The Battle of Minas Tirith Can't say where I have this info right now, more info shortly. Kez Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 I really hope that list is true, as that pretty much covers what we wanted. By the sounds of it if this is true the fell beast would most likely be brick built unless off course it comes with the oliphaunts and it is just a moulded dragon. Minas tirith would also be good, although at that price point the set wont be done justice but its better that we get it rather than we dont get it. Amon hen would give us more uruks and maybe an injured version of boromir which would be great, the mirror would give us an important character with perhaps a holographic image portraying the visions that frodo sees. The defence of osgilliath would most likely give us a boat or two, a few orcs and most likely the Orc general unless off course he is exclusive to minas tirith, either or should this list prove to be true id be really happy:classic:
ZCerberus Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 This does seem premature. Let's move this discussion to future LotR thread.
SheepEater Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 (edited) Assuming this list is legit I'm hopeful for the inclusion of these characters: 1) Galadriel 2) Witch King 3) Eowyn 4) Faramir (in Osgiliath set) 5) Gothmog, the Orc general. No Aragorn, Legolas or Gimli - good, we already have enough of them. If this concludes the LOTR theme, then very few characters will have been missed. Old Bilbo - Can do without, his younger self got a whole theme named after him Balrog - I suspect this is to avoid any criticism/boycott from overtly religious people. Remember Jabba's Palace last year? Denethor - he's neither a clear cut hero or villain, and his character arc is too dark for kids. Treebeard - he'll be missed but you can always mod the Ent in Orthanc to more closely resemble him Celeborn- well, you can always pretend Haldir is him...close enough for me Edited October 20, 2013 by SheepEater
ZCerberus Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Not here. For now, let's keep all this in the Future LotR thread. It makes sense to be in there and I am quite sure this information from Black Tiger is not to be assumed as correct.
