Has anyone else noticed the Lego does not make white hairpieces for regular minifigures? Sure we've got a dwarf beard, wizard hair, judge's wig, and minute man wig; but there are almost no normal hair styles represented in white from Lego. The last one before this year was in 1982 with the "36 Little People + Accessories": http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=x103&in=S In June we got Count Dooku's hairstyle in white and in August of this year we got Doc Brown with another white hairstyle. The BTTF set being the only one of those with white hairpieces included I feel obligated to share a picture :)

So my question is: with 2 new hairstyles in white out this year are we going to finally see a wider variety of white hairpieces from Lego? What do you think?

I don't know, but I don't mind the elderly being more represented in LEGO; it adds needed diversity to train and city layouts. Along those lines, the grandma and grandpa from the CMFs were nice additions, even if not particularly popular with the kids.

True. Other than Steve Martin, who has genuine white hair? Most will have gray or a mix of gray/white. With that said, I would love more hair styles in gray or white. More wrinkled face prints too.

FALSE. Gandalf the White's hairpiece was white.

Um, I mentioned his hair in my first paragraph as "wizard hair." His doesn't count as "normal." It's specialized. I don't see average people walking down the sidewalk with that hairstyle.

I think a large part of the issue is "white" while a quite common hair coloring in licensed IP's. Movies, comics, etc. where it will in part define specific characters. For the non licensed Minifigs, the defining characteristic normally associated with white hair, age, is typically better communicated with a shade of gray.

Regardless, I soo want a modern female long hair piece in white. So many possibilities. The Black Cat. Clea, Dr Strange's typical love interest. Storm. Etc.

I want this for Jet from Rock Raiders. I've got an Arealight Breeze hair I was using, and some weird third party one (I think it was Amazing Armory before they shut down or shifted production?) that I'm using now, but I'd like to see an official option, too.

I'm a purist so 3rd party products don't help me. I'm glad they exist and that other enjoy their products but they just aren't for me. Also, grey does represent older people well, but I don't think that's a good enough excuse for Lego to only have created 3 normal people hairstyles in white.

The lack of gray and white minifig hair is indeed a problem, but I think it is getting slightly better. Before 2011, there were zero Dark Stone Gray hairpieces, but plenty of figs with beards printed in that color. Now there are four; still not many, but enough to give those figs some hair options. Similarly, we've gotten a fair number of white hairpieces in recent years, although unfortunately many of them are specialized for fantasy or historical use. And while there hasn't been as much of a surge in Medium Stone Gray hair, there are already a fair number of relatively ordinary hairpieces in that color, including ones which work with various beard pieces..
