Posted October 23, 201311 yr As reported by Brickipedia (I posted it ), LEGOLAND is currently looking at putting a LEGOLAND park in Stafford County, Virginia, USA. Stafford is just north of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and is about 40 minutes to an hour south of Washington DC. Here is the original story: http://news.fredericksburg.com/newsdesk/2013/10/22/legoland-considers-building-theme-park-in-stafford-county/ And for a fun fact, I live in Stafford, Virginia, so if this ends up happening, it'll be really cool for me.
October 23, 201311 yr Edit: Nevermind. I thought this said "Lego Store" instead of "Legoland." Do they mean a full park, or just a Discovery Center? Edited October 23, 201311 yr by ResIpsaLoquitur

October 23, 201311 yr Wow, just four or five hours from those of us in Raleigh depending on traffic...vote us in! Fingers crossed even though we know it is a very long shot and it would be closed probably 4-5 months of the year.
October 24, 201311 yr I hope the park gets made because I live in Charlotte, NC and the closest one is in Florida.
October 24, 201311 yr Author The closest one to me is also Florida right now, which remarkably I haven't gotten around to visiting. The only LEGOLAND I've ever been to was California, which was several years ago, before LEGOLAND Florida was even in the drawing boards.
October 24, 201311 yr Hey, that's not too far away from Tennessee! Only 500 miles from where I live. Wait, actually that's about the same distance from here to Florida. >.>
October 24, 201311 yr This would be great. I've never been to a Legoland park, but Stafford is only about 45 minutes from here.
