On the pirate bases poll, post Z-Cerberes Gave me an idea. and because Of MR. Tiber. So I made another poll.

the choices are:

1) 6248 Volcano Island

2) 6267 Lagoon Lockup

3) 6263 Imperial Outpost

4) 6264 Forbidden Cove

I don't see the Sabre Island (6265)? I think that's most certainly a small outpost.

And a don't see a poll, but that's probably because you have to be a knight before you can make polls.

Moderators can't do it in any forum at Eurobricks... So that means I have to do it. Darn!

Although I'm not sure about these poll choices as there is some size variation between the sets and they seem an unbalanced selection?

I.e. Sabre Island and Lagoon Lock-Up but there is Imperial Outpost but no Cannon Cove

I voted for Sabre Island, which I think I never owned!

I bought several Imperial Outposts though, for the torsos, large flag, and cannon... but i think in terms of look and feel, I like 'Sabre' the best.

The angle used for the Imperial Outpost box-art is a head-on 1/2 perspective;

For every one of the six 'rooms' there appears to be no back wall. It looks like it is completely open and exposed to all elements. As we all know, the Imperial Outpost has multiple walls all on the sides of the base and a nice brown double door in the back. The camera that has captured the box-art is also exactly perpendicular to the top roof rendering it impossible to see or even notice the top floor's existence. The 3/4 perspective shown here gives a much better depiction;

As we also all know, Sabre Island isn't completely sealed either, but the 5/8 perspective used on its box only shows the specific sealed section, as we can see here;

I went for Lagoon Lock-up. I own two Sabre Islands, but somehow I like Lagoon Lock-up a tad bit more. The Imperial Outpost looks good, too, but doesn't have enough "Caribbean Feeling" to it which is important to me in Pirates sets *sweet*

Not all Pirate's were in the Carribbean lad, they went all the way into India, Even back in Julias Ceasar's time. France wasn't nessesairly in the Carribean, Most of the time it was at war with Brittan, and vice-versa. X-D
