October 10, 200717 yr Had to go with Lagoon Lockup. Its the most complete, though I really like the green doors in the Armada Sentry set. And Sabre Island was one of my first sets and I love that island baseplate. Steve
October 19, 200717 yr Lagoon Lock-up *drule* If only I had one... A friend of mine had it donkey's years ago, should have made an offer. I just love the look of it, feels so tropical and holiday like because of the canopy, maybe it's not so much a fort as a great place to order margeritas and look out to sea. The set just reminds me of all the holidays I've taken to the coasts over the years.
November 22, 200717 yr Sabre Island...my little brother had one back in the day...I should go through all of his stuff at my parents house and confiscate all his LEGO. It's not like HE'S doing anything with it...
November 24, 200717 yr Lagoon Lock Up baby! Why? Cuz I'm looking at right now and i love it as much as I did when I bought it. :'-) Which was like two months ago, ;-) But still...
February 10, 200817 yr Forbibben cove, of course. I love islanders and this is only pirate set that I really own!
February 10, 200817 yr I voted for Lagoon lock-up because its the only one of these sets i used to own when i was a kid. Love the other sets too though especially volcano island and the imperial outpost but i didn't vote for them because only my friends had them. Jealousy is making my choice here :-P Edited February 10, 200817 yr by Errorist
February 10, 200817 yr Pirate ambush for me *wub* The only one I own of the choices, and Ive always enjoyed the features it had, and the log walls. *sweet*
February 10, 200817 yr Forbidden cove for me! Great brick built skull, nifty hidden cove, finally an islander set with no CK (Compulsory Kahuka, not Calvin Klein) it came with some nice minifigures and an extra shield.
February 11, 200817 yr Forbidden Cove! Why? Because it's one of the 6 Pirate sets I do have :-D and it has some awesome headhunters and a raft! :-$ Edited February 11, 200817 yr by Inertia
February 13, 200817 yr I have to go with Lagoon Lock-Up, because that was one of the earliest Lego System sets I remember owning. I had so much fun with it back then, and it still looks like a fantastic set today.
March 18, 200816 yr My favorite of these would by far be the Imperial Outpost. I like the Imperial Guards the most, however this is the only set of the "good guys" I have yet to posses. I shall have one soon one way or another. *skull* Duke
April 20, 200816 yr Lagoon lockup, despite not owning one , probably (atleast one of) the best pirate sets ever. Followed very closely by Imperial outpost. I never really liked sabre island though. I just bought one for the figures and flags because it was fairly cheap, but the structure seems shabby. Half in the water, no ladders, low "battlements" at the top, no pirate to fight, don't like it that much.
April 20, 200816 yr Has to be Lagoon Lock-Up! The prison is awesome, and a little room for the guys to shoot out of!
August 4, 200816 yr I had to choose between Lagoon Lockup and Imperial Outpost - as they're both among my favourite Pirate sets. Finally chose the Lagoon Lockup because it looks more "complete" and works better as a standalone building. It also has some nice details, like the window with those red and blue slopes. But the Imperial Outpost is also nice, I like its jail, and it comes with Admiral Woodhouse!
August 4, 200816 yr Lagoon Lockup wins hands down. Beautifully designed and look at all of the special parts that come with it. My favorite land set. Imperial outpost looks too thrown together. Edited August 4, 200816 yr by HMS243
August 5, 200816 yr voted for the last one in the poll, even though i think it was the first outpost of the pirate theme... why? because it has all the classic components a pirate theme/set should have: some soldiers protecting the outpost, a very popular canon in a fairly cheap set (back then anyway, think it was about 500 BEF, 10-15 euro or so), a great setting, nice color combination, a palm tree and a boat. It's this type of sets that made the line highly popular from the start. damn! all this Pirate talk at the mini EB-event from last weekend has lured me into the pirate section again!
October 21, 200816 yr Lagoon Lock-Up is the best of all the outposts. It has a simple design and really looks like an outpost.
October 21, 200816 yr armada sentry and sabre island Sabre Island, BTW I made a review over it in the Academy, I own the set since the release and played with it many times (made it a forepost of the Imperial Trade post)
