Palathadric Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 what's wrong with the mangudai? I don't know. Maybe without the cloak he looks rather unimpressive. Maybe I'm the only one who sees it. Quote
Palathadric Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 As a huge AoE fan, this project is must-support for me! The buildings are looking great even on their own, but the level of detail and likeness to their game counterparts is amazing. Great job! Awesome! Glad to see someone else from Heroica likes AoE. If I had any connection to speak of I'd play you over the weekend. Quote
Ardelon Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 No war elephant? Since I didnt have any expansions, I cant identify them all, but most are instantly recognizable. Quote
Palathadric Posted November 26, 2013 Posted November 26, 2013 He also left out the Korean War Wagon, but I don't think that should ever have been a unique unit anyway. The Jaguar Warrior (Back Row, Far Left), Tarkan (2nd Row, Far Right), Plumed Archer (3rd Row, 2nd Left) and Conquistador (Front Row, Far Left) are from "The Conquerors" expansion. Quote

Thanks, but I thought the guy in the 2nd row far right was the Mameluke? I guess you meant 3rd rown far right, which I originally thoght was the Mangudai, which I guess would rather be 2nd row 2nd right... Edited November 27, 2013 by Ardelon Quote
Artizan Posted November 27, 2013 Author Posted November 27, 2013 Another addition: Special Units Ok, first row front, from left to right: Conquistador, Teutonic Knight, Janissary, Berserker, second row; Samurai,Plumed Archer, Mangudai, Mameluke, third row; Chu-ko-nu, Throwing Axeman, Huskarl, Tarkhan, fourth row; Jaguar Warrior, Longbowman, Cataphract, Woad raider. Artizan Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Another addition to the set, trebuchet: Quote
Palathadric Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 It's Richard the Lion! He's attacking! Quote
Blazej_Holen Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Perfect, its suitable for normal castle sets :) Quote
Artanis I Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Great unpacked trebuchet. Thanks to this project, I've installed the game again and am going back through the campaigns. Quote
Simon_S Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 That trebuchet is awesome. Keep building such nice stuff for it and you'll soon hit 10'000 supporters! Quote
Knave Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Great work! Always loved this game and you have done a great job bringing into the world of bricks. Quote
SerenityInFire Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 (edited) Awesome work, but I do think the mounted unique units should be accompanied by their noble steeds. In addition to the War Wagon and Elephant, the other unique units that are missing are the missionary, the long boat, the turtle ship and the eagle warrior. The Janissaries also didn't have the hats in the release version of the game. One last point, your use of the Ice Planet 2002 saw blade for a macuahuitl is simply brilliant. Mengish Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Since AOE II is on the verge of surfacing in HD format, this would perfectly complement the video game. There is a generation of old youngsters (like me) out there who are thrilled by the alarm of an attack to the town center. Applause goes to you Artizan for the effort you have put in!!! Congratulations...!!! Quote
Sigolf Brimabane Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) Since AOE II is on the verge of surfacing in HD format On the verge? It's been out since last year. There's an expansion (the Forgotten) as well (it was at first a fan-made mod but it became popular and then it was made an official expansion.) It's great and I advise everyone to get it :) Edited January 3, 2014 by Sigolf Brimabane Quote
thrak76 Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Supported! Loved this game too! I think I'm going to have to pull out the old copy and give it a runthough... Thanks for the great idea, and i hope to see it in bricks! Quote

Thanks for the reminder. BTW, I supported it, too. Quote

Adolfo Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Very good inspiration to MOC! It could be an excellent source of bricks for castle lovers. I can imagine that was cool do this project in LDD. Quote
TheGreatNate Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Artizan, I'm not sure if you will see this, but I was wondering if you might be willing to send me the list of bricks for the town center? I was a big fan of the AoE series so I think it is fantastic and I am interested in trying to build it. Please send me a PM if you would like to discuss. Nate Quote
kangmingjie Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Is there a way to get the .LXFs for these builds? I'm going to create Cuusoo account and support the heck out of this project! Quote
