le60head Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) Great news! The 88003 PF L-motor and the 88004 PF Servo motor are finally being sold separately at shop.lego.com! Thank you TLG! Edited November 1, 2013 by le60head Quote
legomuppet9 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Only took a year longer than it should've taken Quote
skriblez Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 250nok for a servo and 150 nok for a xl was a bit expensive imo :( Quote
zux Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Prices on Bricklink are/were pretty accurate. Quote
Saberwing40k Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I just checked the US site, and the servo motor is still unavailable. Quote
Lakop Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Thanks for posting this. I've ordered a servo at £20 to arrive in five days. You can also place your order at your local lego store and get free postage with the item arriving in five days. I can't wait. H Quote

Eigenbroetler Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 i guess its cheaper just to buy 9398 over and over again, than you get a sh*tload of other parts aswell, and the new V2 reciever, i cant even find the reciever on lego.com. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 S@H Germany Shows them as well: 14.99€ for the L-Motor AND 24.99€ the Servo. Quote
Holodoc Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Prices on Bricklink are/were pretty accurate. Errr - right now 3 parties are selling the L-motor and 2 the servo... As accurate as can be, but n=3 is not really what I would call a reliable source of data. My apologies: I just realized that BL has two different numbers for both of the parts: 99499c01 and 88003 for the L-motor / 99498c01 and 88004 for the servo. Btw. they sold the servo-motor at Legoland Germany for 20€. It's still open until Sunday. Quote

Lego Otaku Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I think LEGO is just using the same number and has quietly replaced the older 1.x receiver with v2. http://powerfunctions.lego.com/en-us/ElementSpecs/8884.aspx shows LEGO using same part # for v2 as they did with v1 Quote

AndyC Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 So its a lottery then? I thought I'd read on here somewhere that TLG had said that if you ordered a PF receiver, you'd just get a v2 one as they'd used up any remaining v1 versions. Quote
Lakop Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 My servo arrived today. Good service. An unexpected buy so I am very happy. H Quote
Scorpion Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 I thought I'd read on here somewhere that TLG had said that if you ordered a PF receiver, you'd just get a v2 one as they'd used up any remaining v1 versions. Nope, that is not correct. Just ordered a PF IR revceiver and I received the V1 version. Quote
Johnny P Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Why is it not correct? it is still possible that he is right. when the V1 is sold out they automaticaly switch to V2.and at the moment they still have V1 in stock. And at the lego store Belgium the servo and large motor are also available. I picked some up last weekend. Quote
dikkie klijn Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I don't understand how the L motor can be more expensive then the XL? Its price should be right in the middle of the M en XL motor Quote
Lakop Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 How does one identify version one and two? H Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 How does one identify version one and two? H Of what: cars,trucks,knifes,computers,phones.... Quote
Lego Otaku Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 How does one identify version one and two? H Of the IR receiver? V2 is stamped below the channel switch, as seen in the picture: http://powerfunctions.lego.com/en-us/ElementSpecs/8884.aspx Quote
Lakop Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Of the IR receiver? V2 is stamped below the channel switch, as seen in the picture: http://powerfunction...Specs/8884.aspx Ok. So I have version one. Looks like another trip to the lego store to see if they have version two. I'll have to read up on it. Thanks H Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Ok. So I have version one. Looks like another trip to the lego store to see if they have version two. I'll have to read up on it. Thanks H The lego store in Glasgow does not have any v2 receivers, that does not mean that another lego store could have them. Quote
TinkerBrick Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Why do i have the feeling that Europeans are paying a premium for the motors? Considering the net price of around 12€ for the L-Motor (without sales tax, German S@H) the US net prices should be somewhere around 16.10$ (1€=1.34$). The German S@H charges about a 16.5% more. The servo price difference is less drastic though. Quote
