Great news!

The 88003 PF L-motor and the 88004 PF Servo motor are finally being sold separately at shop.lego.com!

Thanks for posting this. I've ordered a servo at £20 to arrive in five days. You can also place your order at your local lego store and get free postage with the item arriving in five days. I can't wait.

Oh and I only live a mile away from the lego store in Glasgow, man what a life....

Prices on Bricklink are/were pretty accurate.

Errr - right now 3 parties are selling the L-motor and 2 the servo... :look:

As accurate as can be, but n=3 is not really what I would call a reliable source of data.

My apologies: I just realized that BL has two different numbers for both of the parts: 99499c01 and 88003 for the L-motor / 99498c01 and 88004 for the servo.

Btw. they sold the servo-motor at Legoland Germany for 20€. It's still open until Sunday.

i guess its cheaper just to buy 9398 over and over again, than you get a sh*tload of other parts aswell, and the new V2 reciever, i cant even find the reciever on lego.com.

I agree. The V2 receiver hasn't even been listed anywhere.

So its a lottery then?

I thought I'd read on here somewhere that TLG had said that if you ordered a PF receiver, you'd just get a v2 one as they'd used up any remaining v1 versions.

Nope, that is not correct. Just ordered a PF IR revceiver and I received the V1 version.

Why is it not correct? it is still possible that he is right.

when the V1 is sold out they automaticaly switch to V2.and at the moment they still have V1 in stock.

And at the lego store Belgium the servo and large motor are also available. I picked some up last weekend.

Ok. So I have version one. Looks like another trip to the lego store to see if they have version two. I'll have to read up on it.

Thanks

H

The lego store in Glasgow does not have any v2 receivers, that does not mean that another lego store could have them.

Why do i have the feeling that Europeans are paying a premium for the motors?

Considering the net price of around 12€ for the L-Motor (without sales tax, German S@H) the US net prices should be somewhere around 16.10$ (1€=1.34$).

The German S@H charges about a 16.5% more.

The servo price difference is less drastic though.
