Holodoc Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 I see you writing about the V2 receiver. I don't want to hijack this topic, but can someone lead me to more info about the new receiver (difference to the old one)? Quote
Cwetqo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 In short: it can take more current. It was introduced woth 9398 4x4 crawler, which needed two large (L) motors on one channel. Only outside difference is "v2" printed on front. Quote
1974 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) What Cwetgo said .. Philo also did a thing here : http://philohome.com/pfrec/pfrec.htm Edited November 9, 2013 by 1974 Quote
doug72 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 "Why do i have the feeling that Europeans are paying a premium for the motors?" Just brought two L motors from Lego on-line at £11.99 each plus postage and using my VIP points lowered the cost even more. Delivered in 4 days. Were on sale at eBay at £13.99 each but now increased to £19.99 each plus postage !!! Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Why do i have the feeling that Europeans are paying a premium for the motors? Considering the net price of around 12€ for the L-Motor (without sales tax, German S@H) the US net prices should be somewhere around 16.10$ (1€=1.34$). The German S@H charges about a 16.5% more. The servo price difference is less drastic though. well in sweden the L motor cost 169 SEK =~19.25€, so i guess sweden set the new standard for "premium". Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Servo motor is no longer showing up on the U.S. S@H website. It was never available for sale, so maybe they decided to re-list it once it does become available for sale? That is my hope anyway. Quote
doug72 Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 Nearly all the PF products have disappeared from the Lego on line shop for all counties except USA and Canada. Only the Servo motor 88004 / PF motor set 8293 / Charger 8887 are shown !!!! Quote
Lakop Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 (edited) They must be doing an update. It would be a shame if people cannot get their power functions. H PS: The servo is now showing on the Technic page of lego shop. Edited November 10, 2013 by Horace T Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Just bought two servos from lego shop Glasgow, they also had L motors. But no sign of any v2 receivers. Quote
quilkin Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Just received 2 L-motors (purchased from Lego UK but shipped from the Netherlands in 2 days!): if you don't have any, I can recommend them. With so many fixing holes they are far more versatile than the M motor, only slightly bigger but much easier to design into a MOC. Quote
__________________________ Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 This should get rid of my excuse of never using L Motors! (: Obviously this will drive down BL prices, so even IF the motors are overpriced, I still think we should all be glad we can buy them separate from, say, $200 sets. Quote
fizzley Posted January 4, 2014 Posted January 4, 2014 I've tried ordering a power functions set from lego and it's on back order until mid january, they still took the order though. I did get a M and L motor, speed remote, IR sensor (v1) and lights through the post today - servo motor unavailable to Europeans at the moment! I have ordered a "damaged box" 4x4 crawler so I will get a servo motor, just a very expensive way to get one. This technic hobby was meant to be cheap winter fun..... Quote
