Karie was too distracted to catch Skrall's statement.

Masson returns the embrace as he passes over the bouquet - it was just as good, if not better, then the last one he got her.

"I was going to head home, change into something more formal, and then pick you up at your apartment... Willing to see the Dream Oath with me tonight, Karie?"

Slowly, he kisses Karie on the cheek - it was clear he was a lot more awkward in public.

"I'll try not to break into your house again, ma cherie."

The party hears a clambering behind them; they nearly draw their weapons, still on edge after the night's events, but it is only Octavyn, carrying three blue pouches. Even now, he cannot resist a chance for a wisecrack.

"Aww, isn't that precious.

Hey, Mr. Boss, if you could peel yourself off my coworker for a second, I could pay the hired hands here.

Thanks for all of your help tonight, guys and gal. I definitely couldn't do it alone, that's for damn sure. If you have time one of these nights, drop by the Albatross Inn. I'm the bartender there... I'll probably be able to slip you pint or two, and we can trade stories.

Octavyn tosses a pouch to each of the heroes, catching them. The gold coins jangle, and, sure enough, counting them out revealed there were exactly 100 gold in each bag. With a threat to Eubric destroyed and their reward in hand, they knew that

Karie giggles as Octavyn makes his remark. She moves away from Masson, her face rosy from the cold and from the kiss.

"Of course. I'll see you tonight, Masson."

Her roses in tow, she moves to the party.

"Well, gents, it was nice to meet you. If you guys want to sit for a drink some day, I'd be up for it. Barradock, at least I think that's your name, right? Anyways, you did good back there. I'll see you around. I got to get somethings done. Until then, lads!

It was good seeing you Octavyn. And you as well Olivia. If anything comes up, let me know."

With a wave back, Karie makes her way back to her apartment, somewhat unsure of what lay ahead of her.

OOC: Thanks again, Endgame! It seems at this point we're nigh inseparable with the amount of your quests I've been on. I'll have my thoughts up in a bit, but it was a fun quest!

Baradock gives a cold wave back to the witch. Before realizing he had no where really to go but to the Hall. With a casual salute to the others he began strolling in the sunrise.

With a little more sunshine in his pocket, he thought. A small smile growing on his face hearing the coins jingle in his bag.

...The Doppel vial still resting at the heart of his pouch...
