Zulithe Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 anyone know if the release date in the US is Nov 1? Trying to figure this out too... hoping they appear on S@H tonight. Quote
just2good Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 anyone know if the release date in the US is Nov 1? I believe so. Quote
Iamthesimpleone Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I believe so. My local lego store said they were going to be released online in November, but that stores would not receive them until next year. Is this unusual for lego to do? Quote
Herky Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 what? that's nuts...they are supposed to be marketed to the public, why would they not sell them in the stores? I would assume these would be sold in WalMart/Target/TRU, etc as well, or did I miss this and they are Lego exclusives Quote
Herky Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 Shop@Home in US now has all the sets listed, Nov 15 for release date. Quote
just2good Posted November 12, 2014 Author Posted November 12, 2014 (edited) My Amazon order of The Mine arrived yesterday! (You can check out these photos in bigger sizes on my Flickr stream here.) Overall, I love this set for the playability and value! It's 922 pieces for $110 USD, but the size and the complex and unique playability features make up for that. I love the minecart feature- the minecart runs on a very unique system where its tracks are tile pieces. Edited November 12, 2014 by just2good Quote
Herky Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 that's a pretty good set, I did talk to the folks at my local Lego Store, they did say Nov 15 and web only orders, sounds like Amazon has them early though Quote
telaruhn Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 These look cool, but I'm not a big enough fan of Minecraft to get them, even with all the cool pieces However, I would get these over the micro sets because I can use actual Lego minifigs in them :) Quote
just2good Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 that's a pretty good set, I did talk to the folks at my local Lego Store, they did say Nov 15 and web only orders, sounds like Amazon has them early though Interesting! commodore_legolas Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Man, these sets look great! Really can't wait to pick them up. Amazon has taken them all down now though. I really hope the next wave will include a village, the Nether, gold and leather armor and most importantly Alex! (Steve's female counterpart in the game.) Quote
jorgieboy Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 (edited) My Amazon order of The Mine arrived yesterday! I don't understand why you are always advertising your channel on here. I honestly find it really annoying as you always do this. Post your opinion, sure, but do you really need to post 8 pictures and a video? If people want to see it, they will go to your channel. You really seem like an attention whore sometimes. Edited November 14, 2014 by Peppermint_M Don't Quote Pictures Please. Quote
Super Goblin Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Wow really? How is his video and pictures any different than somebody posting a review on here? If you don't like his video or you don't want to view it you don't have to. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 Can we stay on topic in here please? Thanks. Quote

Peasantseverywhere Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Has anyone got any ideas for sets that they may bring out next year for this theme ? Here are mine : - The Nether - The Village - The Forest (Loads of trees and like bamboo trees and so on) - Crafting Box #2 Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 @Peasantseverywhere: Great list However, I'd replace the Forest with a Jungle set and add a Swamp and an icy biom based set My suggestions: - "The Nether" with structures made of Netherrack, Soul Sand and glowstone and parts of a Nether fortress, a Nether portal and a couple of mobs (1-2 Zombie Pigmen with golden swords, at least one Blaze, a Ghast and 1-2 Wither skeletons) - "The Swamp" with a witch hut and a couple of trees. Should also include a witch, a chicken maybe, a fishing rod, bottles and books - "The Mountain" with lots of ice and snow, including snow balls, a dog/wolf and a snow golem. - "The Village": at least two buildings with lots of crop areas (time to introduce melons and potatoes ) and a couple of villagers and zombie villagers, perhaps even a golem to protect the former from the latter - "The Jungle": a jungle temple, a huge jungle tree, an ocelot/cat and some cacaos. - "Crafting box #2": Throw in some of the remaining mobs (horse, rabbid, bat) and I'm happy Quote
Peasantseverywhere Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Wow some really great ideas there Lego-Freak ! Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Wow some really great ideas there Lego-Freak ! Thanks! Due to the way the last wave utilized its moulds, most of what I've listed can be done without the need to produce new moulds - Zombie Pigman: head piece in pink and golden sword - Blaze: head piece in yellow, the rest can be brick-built - Ghast: entirely brick-built - Wither skeleton: regular skeleton in dark gray or black - Chicken: animal head with new printing - Bottles: Erlenmeyer flask in new colours (e.g. red) - Books: just reuse the regular LEGO books - Snow balls: reuse the one included in this years Ice Skating Scene set - (Zombie) Villagers: new prints - Melon: head piece in olive green - Potatoe: printed 1x1 round tile New moulds would be required for the fishing rod, the wolf/dog, the ocelot/cat, the golem and the witch (there's no way that hat could be represented with current moulds), nothing out of the ordinary I'd say Hopefully we'll see something along those lines Quote
bricksnbricks Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 Has anyone seen these in stores yet? I can't seem to find any. Quote
just2good Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Has anyone seen these in stores yet? I can't seem to find any. These aren't gonna be in stores until January 1st. So, getting them online from S@H or Amazon is your best bet. I don't understand why you are always advertising your channel on here. I honestly find it really annoying as you always do this. Post your opinion, sure, but do you really need to post 8 pictures and a video? If people want to see it, they will go to your channel. You really seem like an attention whore sometimes. To each their own, I disagree with your statement in many ways, but let's move on from this as the staff already put a perfect end to it... Anyways, I got the First Night from Amazon, and here's my thoughts/pictures/review! Video review here: And for those who are a picture review person: So, this is yet another set from this line I adore. The inside is so comfy- I want to put my regular minifigures in there. The exterior gives the necessary Minecraft feel, but also uses some pretty awesome techniques to portray that feel in LEGO. The door comes to mind. For $40, it's a great set! Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Stores in Oz have been receiving stocks this week, but it has been selling out as quickly as stock comes in.......Lego might be on a winner here. Quote
just2good Posted December 11, 2014 Author Posted December 11, 2014 Stores in Oz have been receiving stocks this week, but it has been selling out as quickly as stock comes in.......Lego might be on a winner here. Indeed, the whole wave was available only online in the US, and it's sold out everywhere- some, like the Cave, are going for more than double its original price! Quote
refriedbeans Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 They will be in stores later though correct? Quote
