Yeah, I don't think any of those look very good at all. I'd like to see something more along the lines of these:

Also, LEGO is working on a temple set and is going to show off some WIPs in a video next week.

I don't play Minecraft, but that Sheep is better...

We could get a set like micro world.

You can remove the top (the biome) from the cave/dungeon/mineshaft. And you can also connect it with others.

The cave has a simple design.

-the cave has 1 side that is closed.

-2 pillars at the front to keep everything up.

-some blocks placed so it looks like a real cave

-tiles and sometimes tiles with 1 stud on it are place for the floor

black color: the walls

gray color: inside

I prefer number 1. xxlrocka, is there any specific reason you chose 5? It's probably the least accurate.

Every other one has at least something that makes it untrue to the in-game design. I might be a little extreme here though, because they are obviously prototypes. Also, Number 5 has movable legs.

Also, Cow A3 is good because it has the cleanest looking design, and Sheep B2 is also good because it has black legs, and everybody knows that sheeps always have black legs. Just fix the head for a certain winner!

Notice the different colour green baseplate that the Minifig Prototypes are stood on? I am willing to bet we will see these new colour Green Baseplates exclusively for Minecraft, to represent the Top layer of Grass Blocks.

Huh, they said that this weeks video would feature temples. Oh well, these shelters look great! I really like the stone look of first one, and the last one as well. In fact, I think the last prototype is easily the best, though it still could use a few improvements. I think wooden or stone floors are a must, rather than the grass that they have.

As for what's included, that really depends on what stage in the game they're going for. Obviously they'd want a bed, crafting table, furnace, chest, and some kind of light source. But if they want to include some stuff from later in the game, they could include things like a cauldron or brewing stand. I think the more advanced stuff should be saved for a bigger house though, as well as some redstone contraptions!

I can understand that the current micro-scale sets are not ideal for their younger audience and hence the needs for these sets. Perhaps the micro-scale sets would suit minecraft world-builders and these system-scale sets would suit minecraft home-builders.

My immediate reaction is that these look incredibly bland, boring, and childish. I especially dislike the drab colors and cramp interiors. It is as if they applied a theme to a bulk brick set, which I suppose is a clever way to sell more of the 2x2 and 2x4 bricks. Wouldn't most of the sets have the same bricks? Maybe it would be fitting of the theme if these sets came with 3-in-1 (or more) instructions for alternative builds. My mind just had an image of a CMF line of girls cosplaying as minecraft creatures. Yeah, I'm not really into minecraft.

I have to say, those shelter concepts do a much better job of conveying what the Minecraft line has to gain from being bumped up to Minifig scale than the figs did. The larger scale is better suited to the kinds of complex structures you can build in the game, although I still think the microscale sets do a great job of portraying the dynamic environments of the game.

That tree looks pretty good, I'm looking forward to getting all those 2x2 jumper plates when the sets get released. I'm also excited for that Nether set.
