larsyuipo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 lego is working on the new creeper design, we are now able to vote on our favorite sheep and cow Quote
Junpei Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 What if we really don't like any of them? Quote
TheNerdyOne_ Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Yeah, I don't think any of those look very good at all. I'd like to see something more along the lines of these: Also, LEGO is working on a temple set and is going to show off some WIPs in a video next week. Quote

larsyuipo Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 We could get a set like micro world. You can remove the top (the biome) from the cave/dungeon/mineshaft. And you can also connect it with others. The cave has a simple design. -the cave has 1 side that is closed. -2 pillars at the front to keep everything up. -some blocks placed so it looks like a real cave -tiles and sometimes tiles with 1 stud on it are place for the floor black color: the walls gray color: inside just a terrible drawing Quote
xxlrocka Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) I prefer number 1. xxlrocka, is there any specific reason you chose 5? It's probably the least accurate. Every other one has at least something that makes it untrue to the in-game design. I might be a little extreme here though, because they are obviously prototypes. Also, Number 5 has movable legs. Also, Cow A3 is good because it has the cleanest looking design, and Sheep B2 is also good because it has black legs, and everybody knows that sheeps always have black legs. Just fix the head for a certain winner! Edited November 9, 2013 by xxlrocka Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 Notice the different colour green baseplate that the Minifig Prototypes are stood on? I am willing to bet we will see these new colour Green Baseplates exclusively for Minecraft, to represent the Top layer of Grass Blocks. Quote
TheNerdyOne_ Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I think the plates they're standing on are just light green. Quote
Tom Jurassic Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 I think the plates they're standing on are just light green. Yep, I had a stupid moment. * Walks off quickly...* Quote
Mutant Orc Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I don't play minecraft but the the cows that look cow like are only A1 and A5. Are those things underneath meant to be sheep??? Quote

just2good Posted November 17, 2013 Author Posted November 17, 2013 (edited) New Co-Build video! All of Steve's shelters look fantastic, and I'm not even a Minecraft player! This time they want to know what should be in Steve's shelter! What do y'all think should be in there? Edited November 17, 2013 by just2good Quote
TheNerdyOne_ Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Huh, they said that this weeks video would feature temples. Oh well, these shelters look great! I really like the stone look of first one, and the last one as well. In fact, I think the last prototype is easily the best, though it still could use a few improvements. I think wooden or stone floors are a must, rather than the grass that they have. As for what's included, that really depends on what stage in the game they're going for. Obviously they'd want a bed, crafting table, furnace, chest, and some kind of light source. But if they want to include some stuff from later in the game, they could include things like a cauldron or brewing stand. I think the more advanced stuff should be saved for a bigger house though, as well as some redstone contraptions! Quote
larsyuipo Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 just wanted to post it :P I really like the first and last one... They could use more smooth tiles and not alot with a stud in the middle Quote
AndyC Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Is it just me or is one of those houses (the one that has a single hinge) built on two 32*16 standard plates? Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 Ok I must admit the houses look amazing. But they look almost nothing like minectaft-houses. Quote
Bricked Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 Sound like a good idea. I think they should've started with minifig scale in the first place. Quote
badbob001 Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I can understand that the current micro-scale sets are not ideal for their younger audience and hence the needs for these sets. Perhaps the micro-scale sets would suit minecraft world-builders and these system-scale sets would suit minecraft home-builders. My immediate reaction is that these look incredibly bland, boring, and childish. I especially dislike the drab colors and cramp interiors. It is as if they applied a theme to a bulk brick set, which I suppose is a clever way to sell more of the 2x2 and 2x4 bricks. Wouldn't most of the sets have the same bricks? Maybe it would be fitting of the theme if these sets came with 3-in-1 (or more) instructions for alternative builds. My mind just had an image of a CMF line of girls cosplaying as minecraft creatures. Yeah, I'm not really into minecraft. Quote
Lyichir Posted November 22, 2013 Posted November 22, 2013 I have to say, those shelter concepts do a much better job of conveying what the Minecraft line has to gain from being bumped up to Minifig scale than the figs did. The larger scale is better suited to the kinds of complex structures you can build in the game, although I still think the microscale sets do a great job of portraying the dynamic environments of the game. TheNerdyOne_ Posted November 23, 2013 Posted November 23, 2013 They posted this on the official forums: Looks like there's going to be a Nether set. Quote
larsyuipo Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 I have designed a tree you cn remove the green pieces, of course the colors of the tree I designed aren't right Quote
Junpei Posted November 24, 2013 Posted November 24, 2013 That tree looks pretty good, I'm looking forward to getting all those 2x2 jumper plates when the sets get released. I'm also excited for that Nether set. Quote
