CardinalBricks Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 (edited) Hello all! Here are a few pictures of my upgrade to The DeLorean Time Machine set. If you have an upgrade to share, put a picture below so we can all see it! Edited November 5, 2013 by BrickRally217 Quote
arc Posted November 2, 2013 Posted November 2, 2013 I like what you've done with the back, but the front seems a little too long in my opinion. Quote

Yeah you're probably right, but I wanted to use that slope piece for the hood so bad!!! Plus, I wanted to add in that little dark grey strip across the front, so that was the outcome. Quote

badbob001 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 This is my compromise between using tiles and the big boxy slope. Quote
AndyC Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Every revision I see with that large slope piece only serves to convince me more that it really doesn't work well at all. Badbob001's solution with the 6x6 tile is pretty cool though, looks like a better trade off. Quote
kermit Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 I like the back too but the slope piece for the front just seems odd. Quote

CardinalBricks Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 Here's what I did with the slope piece. Yeah, that's a good technique. I did something similar to that as a prototype, then took it apart because I thought it looked too boxy and not flat like it should be. But yours turned out well, I like it! This is my compromise between using tiles and the big boxy slope. Oh my gosh! That's a fantastic idea with that BTTF 3 engine piece on the hood. Quote
Temet Nosce Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Lots of nice techniques for the slope here, makes it look a lot less blocky! Quote
