I've been meaning to finish building my cities hospital for a while and I finally got around to it. I used the latest police station and the helicopter rescue to build it.

The middle floor has bars on it because it is where the city holds people infected with the zombie virus.

Very cool!!!

This police station has so many MOD possiblities. I plan on mixing it with the Pet Shop for some kind of modular police station or garage.

It looks like most of the set is stock, minus the color changes. It would be a pity to not add some more room; save up for another Police Station, and add it on, for some room for offices, and surgery tables.

I like the simplicity of this.

The simple method of the pavement connecting the diffrent pavements really works.

A lot of work could be done wtih this but it looks quite good overall.

Well done.

Its an old post, but more pic would be cool . :P

Now how did I miss this creation.....interesting fusion of set designs into one hospital. Quite believable layout, and man you can the size problems between the two 2012 ambulances eh ?

Great work 'Zanki' and Brick On !

Awesome work, love the use of the Police set. I have been modifying my emergency hospital set just this week but its not as big as yours. I also had trouble fitting the new Ambulance in too, I choose to use the new one from the Town Starter set and scrap the small one that came with this Emergency rescue set as it was a very poor ambulance and makes a better car after a small conversion. If I was you i would consider changing the large Ambulance to the smaller one from the starter set too, I think it would fit into your mod a little better. Also love the Zombie ward idea!

Very good mash up and modification of the sets. :)

I think I would try to raise the height of the ground floor to make it match the larger Ambulance.

I may do something similar, although my hospital may have a Victorian style section, more like the current Modular buildings.

I like what you have done here...though I feel you need to decide on a scale of vehicle as they are throwing off the whole feel of the build.

I've never been a fan of how TLG have designed their stock vehicles etc as more often than not they just don't fit in with the detail or style of a more considered MOC/MOD layout. Though I suppose its the curse of the AFOL....the original designs are aimed at the 'kids'.

This is a good idea of mixing the 2 sets and using the police station as an hospital.

If I can suggest some improvements:

-the junction between the 2 sets is not good in my opinion. A window next to the main entrance door is hidden by a wall. You should have extended a little bit the wall (and move the left part of 2 studs on the baseplate).

-the first floor (over bays) is a good idea, therefore, you should have joined the two first floors! And over the bays, it lacks a bit of "texture", it is a bit flat...

-The pavement way to the entrance is quite strange with half green and half grey floor. I think the separation should be totally hidden or elsewere.

So good idea but needs some minor improvements!

Good job of adding these two sets together Zanki. Ive always said TLG should of created a hospital at least the size of the police station. I have pondered with the idea of adding these two sets together but adding the Helicopter Rescue set to the other side that you have and taking out the garage doors of the police station and using that as an Ambulance drop off at A&E/trauma

Hi everyone, thanks for the awesome comments, I didn't see them until yesterday. I was surprised my thread had been brought back from the dead!

Here's the update I made to the hospital yesterday. I got some extra bricks so I decided to use them to expand a little. It's still not perfect. I need to get a grey base to replace the green one, I also need some new blue windows, a few more flat grey and red pieces, and some more flat black roof pieces to make this update look good. I'm going to keep my two amblances. I don't mind the size differences so much, although I'm tempted to change it though.

Let me know what you think!

Nice... although I would keep the green baseplate, I think it would look better than another grey one. A few more hospital stickers would look good too.

I was thinking of making some signs to go on there, especially over the doors. I'd love to carry on with the windows on the right and add another floor onto it, but unless I can get some more pieces without having to take my police station apart is going to have to stay as it is right now.

Awesome build, it kinda reminds me of my old 6380, the ETC - has that multiple department kinda feel. I always thought that was the best Lego-made hospital set, I saw the modern one and it just looked like a parking spot for the vehicles!

Have you seen this? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=35999&st=0 it's more of a modular style of build for AFOLs - while it's impressive, I actually like your set better for the way it would fit well into any City set up, and it looks more playable (and durable!). Looking forward to seeing the interiors!
