jorgeopesi Posted July 2, 2014 Author Posted July 2, 2014 I come back with the F40 but first I have to clean it... . After building 6 or 7 minis I can reduce more the hard parts . Quote
zux Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Good thing it is back :) I was thinking for a while if this project was already abandoned or not. Quote
grum64 Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Stunning MOC of a great car. Showed this to an F40 owner, his comment? 'Build quality looks better than mine!' Quote

jorgeopesi Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Nice vídeo, I still doubt on rims, the grey ones are good. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted July 20, 2014 Author Posted July 20, 2014 At last a spoiler I like, it is nice but it is difficult to extract, my daughter always pulled it . Quote
jantjeuh Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 (edited) I feel the nose section (in front of the front wheels) should be quite a bit longer. The slope of the hood should be less inclined. Nice job though! Edited July 20, 2014 by jantjeuh Quote

Nice job though! I think it could be the perspective and the mudguards because everything seems smaller, thank you for all comments less to do... new chassis inside. I have to do a more round roof, sides and some details in the back side. Quote
Jim Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Looking at the comparison pictures, I do think the grey rims look best. It's more authentic than the black ones. Quote

You are right, they would be more realistic but with them the tire looks low profile. Needs chrome rims. I am a big purist, I never work with no-Lego or custom parts. jantjeuh Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 So am I, but I think chromed elements are allowed. It's purely cosmetic, and looks good. Each to his own Quote

jantjeuh Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Well if you insist on not using chrome rims ( ), I suggest you use LBG wheels instead of black wheels, maybe adding the wheel covers of 8653 or 8145. Quote

When I finished it I will take pics with the grey, black and 8145 cover wheels, the 8653 covers are impossible to use because I am not using hubs in front wheels, I used 4-axles with stop. It is a pity the 8653 covers are the best ones... Quote

Hi, the MOC is RC but I think people will want a no-RC one, after all it will be very slow due to its weight, I did it RCjust because it was a challenge for me to have less room to build. Good luck with the cars, the soft axles are very expensive and the F40 has many of them. The best pic, achieve this has been the hardest thing I ever do but it has an advantage, makes a modular MOC.
