lightningtiger Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 What's SNOT to love about it eh ? Wonderful detailing 'helos'......keep them coming and Brick On ! Quote
*thomas* Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Great rendition of a modern express train, it really looks spot on compared to the real thing. I've also sent you a private message. Keep up the good work! Quote
BrickSlasher Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Please make this a cuusoo project! I need a taurus it is my favorite engine! Quote
yohai71 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 That's just about the most realistic Bahn I've ever seen someone make out of Lego bricks... Great job! Also, that red Siemens ES 64U is equally stunning, compered to the real one I photographed while visiting Wien: Now, to your next project...: Quote
BrickSlasher Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 BTW didn't the real Railjet Taurus have 3 pantographs? That needs a fix :D Please post more pictures, from the couplers for example! And if you have instructions for the engine that would be epic to have. I want to make a taurus cargo train. Quote
nesi01 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Hi Helos, what a great TRAIN!!! I really love it and there are so many beautiful details!!! Best regarts nesi01 Quote
English Electric Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 This is superb! I travelled on the Railjet from Salzburg to Vienna earlier in the year with work and have to say its a fantastic smooth service, you have captured it just about as perfectly as you could do! Quote
bartvdpoel Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I love the snot techniques for the nose, would love to try it out on a Belgian train I want to build (but only have in LDD at the moment). Great model, nice train. Quote
pickyourownbogie Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Fantastic work - you have captured the essence of the original and delivered a wonderful Lego train. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 That is actually a very nice train and not at all what I was expecting when I clicked on here. Nice to e surprised by that. Quote
Skystorm87 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 One of the best Lego train I've ever seen! Quote
James Mathis Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 That is quite a mature train set. Very nice, indeed! Great design. You've captured the contour of the loc/cab beautifully. -James Quote
Ashi Valkoinen Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I wonder what color would be proper? Are you sure of do not switc to 7w? Well, truly said, the proper color could be maerks blue. Medium blue is not blue enough, traditional blue is too dark, however doors' colour is LEGO dark blue. So, not a cheap train. :) And all of my trains are 8W, maybe un half year I'll have a 8W railjet ( ;) ), and all klub members building in 8W, 1:42. So no way to use 7W again. :D Quote
Scheemdalegotrain Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Hi there Helos, I saw your Railjet (again) today and it is simply amazing. One of the best renditions of this fine train built so far! This is a set I could truly imagine as a creator set one day (next year? Maybe too much to hope for...) Do you have building instructions? Pelzer117 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 As a creator Set it would be to expensive I think. Also in Lego Standard 6W hard too realize and I dont think LEGO will change their wide Quote
Ashi Valkoinen Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 It could be published as 6W, I see no point why all the train can't be one stud narrower. With the locomotive, one Bmpz and one Afmpz waggon it could be a nice train set. Quote
Pelzer117 Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 Yep, hope dies at last. So let us all hope Quote
helos Posted November 13, 2014 Author Posted November 13, 2014 Nice to see a come back of this post. I'm currently a bit away from Lego world and this is good for my mood. Thank you all in advance and a special mention for our well known and dear fellow LEGO train 12Volts who realized an improved version which involves the current PF motorization with its intrinsic problems of supply, driving motors, wirings etc. very different from the 9V easier solution. http://www.eurobrick...howtopic=101137 Well, truly said, the proper color could be maerks blue. Medium blue is not blue enough, traditional blue is too dark, however doors' colour is LEGO dark blue. So, not a cheap train. :) I've suspected something like that And all of my trains are 8W, maybe un half year I'll have a 8W railjet ( ;) ), and all klub members building in 8W, 1:42. So no way to use 7W again. :D I've suspected something like that since I saw your great club in action. So, waiting for news from you Donat. ME Model large radius curves are nearly ready and I think those products are really suitable for 8W trains. .... This is a set I could truly imagine as a creator set one day (next year? Maybe too much to hope for...) Do you have building instructions? As a creator Set it would be to expensive I think. Also in Lego Standard 6W hard too realize and I dont think LEGO will change their wide It could be published as 6W, I see no point why all the train can't be one stud narrower. With the locomotive, one Bmpz and one Afmpz waggon it could be a nice train set. Yep, hope dies at last. So let us all hope I agree that is a beautiful train but I'm not conviced that might be a candidate for a creator set. Both the Austrian and especially the Czech livery are very appealing but there are lots of trains which are more suitable for a successful set. Moreover the railjet logos have a remarkable aspect in the final result. Yuo can not imagine how it's hard applying the Railjet thin logos. though once you've experienced some applications the trouble should turn easier. Not a skill for an average builder. There is also a problem with a scheme livery line realized in "old" dark grey. For what concerning instructions, I directly build my models therefore I can't share any construction plans... but who knows....may be that something come out I don't really know how many pieces require this model in a 7stud solution. I can estimate over 5,000. Following a picture of the unusual solution of the bogies facing to a simplier solution of the Rheingold boogies. RJ boogies requires lots of pieces, first tipe train wheels spinning into a 3mm hose and a not conventional coupler. A beatiful 6W Taurus with a double decker coaches. An example that a regular 6 stud gets good result and another nice livery Finally I report the work of another EB member nesi01. Here its own RJ interpretation with detailed interiors: https://www.flickr.c...26254@N05/sets/ Quote
Pelzer117 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) CAT: for 6W looks really good, for the 9V motors there really interesting solutions builded. Work from nesi: Oh Year, like the real interior :D for example WC and the round bar. Pretty cool! Edited November 13, 2014 by Pelzer117 Quote
