AKM_76 Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Just saw some videos of upcomnig game HOMEWORLD: Shipbreakers and was amazed by the design style of the vehicles. If they could be partnered with LEGO I'll sure buy everything about it. Check the videos for the inspiration, it fits the LEGO ideally in my opinion: http://blackbirdinteractive.com/media/ p.s. I'm sorry to mention that I've made another similar topic in the Sci-Fi branch of the forum yesterday but I really want more people to see it. Quote
Doc_Brown Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Very cool! I would argue that the front suspension if real, would be very poor. But looks sweet! Edited November 12, 2013 by Doc_Brown Quote
Doc_Brown Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 (edited) Here is the best pic I could get of the suspension in action. Would a be a nice challenge to make tho. Edited November 12, 2013 by Doc_Brown Quote
dikkie klijn Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 That front suspension SCREAMS Tumbler , but then mirrored. Quote
Lakop Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 I love those fantasy/sci fi vehicles. I'm sure between us all we could come up with one. H Quote
Junpei Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Would the front suspension not work very well because of the negative caster? That vehicle looks awesome,I might make an attempt at that! Quote

Hrafn Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 That's what I thought, but what a cool project. It seems like it would have a problem with getting "jammed" on tall obstacles, too, instead of rolling over them the way a normally oriented trailing arm suspension would. It looks cool, though, and that is the key criterion for games! Quote
