Alfadas Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Looking good already! Is that Yooha's sigfig I see there? Quote
soccerkid6 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Both modules look very promising The windows on the town hall are great Quote
kabel Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 thanks guys, glad you like it @Alfadas: that's Yooha indeed! @all: I'm not quite sure which color I should give the town hall's roof, what do guys think looks better, black or red? Quote
Alfadas Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 (edited) I'd say red, because there already is a lot of black. That isn't a bad thing, I just think red would be a nice color breaker, especially as the town hall is an important building, it should stand out. Edited March 2, 2014 by Alfadas Quote
Gunman Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I am not sure about which color to choose, but the town hall idd looks really promising. Quote
Simon_S Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I'd go with a red roof with some dark red accents in it. Looks very promising, brick on! Quote
Yooha Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 thanks guys, glad you like it @Alfadas: that's Yooha indeed! It's me, it's me! I'm curious what I will do in Thorshaven. Quote
synbiote Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 why not go for a multi colored mozaik roof? i've seen a medieval town hall in the mosel region sporting a mozaik roof, also some castle around said river.. always thought them to look really refreshing & colorfull. Quote
kabel Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 just because I'm not posting mocs like crazy, doesn't mean I'm not building anymore, but working on three modules and two pirate mocs at the same time slows progress down a little. Anyway, here is a current status update on Thorshaven. I think the full extent of what I was planning to build is slowly becoming visible. Quite threatening to the wallet if you ask me ... Quote
MassEditor Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Can I come over to your house and see this for myself?!? What an awesome scene you have going on here! The waterfront buildings are definitely my favorite, and that SNOT rock work on the right house is expertly done! This, Kabel, is certainly inspiring! I think I could spend a couple of days looking at everything you built here. Quote
Hammerhand Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Looking awesome! So many details and things to take in. Can't wait to see more progress! Quote
Scaevola Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 This looks to be quite an undertaking! The builds looks superb, especially the ships and the red brick house. I'm anxiously awaiting future updates Quote
Garmadon Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Great job, Kabel, as you say, it seems to be taking shape now Looks like you have your work cut out for you Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) Damn, looking more and more awesome kabel! Edited May 7, 2014 by Lord Vladivus Quote
kabel Posted May 11, 2014 Author Posted May 11, 2014 thanks guys! @ME: sure, any time, we got a guest room! It's gonna be diffucult though convincing my kids to let you play with it too! Actually it's going to be on display again in November in Antwerpen. @Hammer: progress is on the way, it's just a matter of scraping together enough money though. @Scaevola: the town hall is almost finished, but not very visible here. As soon as I get the final dark brown plates in, I'll show more stuff in detail. @Garmadon: I seriously had no idea what I got myself into when I started this. Now I just can't stop ... @Vlad: as I said before, come to Antwerpen this fall Quote
Kayne Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Wow, that is awesome! I can only imagine the damage to the wallet! Quote
Gabe Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 So amazing Kabel! Lovely to see all those ships together in harbour. Your town hall is looking very promising - i think the reds was a good choice for the roof. Quote
synbiote Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Oh boy..that got big pretty fast.. Gonna have a hard time getting it all set up for Antwerp's Castle layout though..oh well.. it's a challenge anywayz. Quote
TitusV Posted November 20, 2016 Posted November 20, 2016 For BMA '16, I made two more modules. Details of the Avalonian Quarter can be found here. Quote
