So a question:

Since it is delayed again, do we have a new date for release?

-Ras-

Well it's still to be confirmed that it's delayed again, however it's looking likely that it will be :'-(

*looks at the first pic* At last! We see the Evo troopers in the game! I wonder what role they will play... And where are the Jump Troopers? >:-(

I'm sure that the rumored Jump Troops will show up soon if they are in the game, remember weve only seen a fraction of what the game will offer.

Reflecting its status as an exciting new part of the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will be featured throughout Spike TV's weekend events. Viewers will see special Star Wars: The Force Unleashed segments, each with an exclusive announcement or new game play footage, at the following times on Spike TV:

There is a new trailer for the Wii out. It knew it wouldn't be so good looking as the 360-version (I was about to buy one for the game and leave LEGObuying for a year :'-( ), but this trailer looks pretty nice.

The graphics aren't 'WOW' but deffenitly 'wow' for the Wii. The physics aren't as good like the 360-version, but what the heck. I will buy this game certainly for the Wii!

For all who missed the big announcement, it is:

That the first mission of the game will have you playing as *vader* HIMSELF! >:-)

You will go to Kashyyyk and find your Apprentice! You will also be able to Force-choke Wookiees! :-D

P.S. Spike will be airing the Original Trilogy next Friday into Sunday, probably in the same order as this weekend's movies. *y* AND I WILL BE WATCHING TO SEE THE REST OF THE AWESOME EXCLUSIVE TIDBITS! *skull*

Ah, thanks very much, Lord Vader, for that link *sweet*

Awesome new stuff I found out, I think it's really cool that we get to play as Darth Vader.

I'm a bit surprised though, that it will also come out for PS2, I figured since it's so huge, and detailed, it would only be for the NextGen consoles...

Ah well, I will be buying it for PS3 anyways ;-)

Hey guys, I don't know if this is news for all of you or not, but StarWars.com has posted a brand new trailer for SW:TFU!

Since I can't embed the trailer directly into this post, you'll just have to settle for a link.

(And yes, I know the link takes you to YouTube. I just thought it was an easier web page to link to. )

The attention to detail, great voice-acting, and realistic looking combat just push this game to a whole new level. :cry_happy:

Plus there are loads of new characters, soldier classes, vehicles, and environments.

It's almost as if they intended to make a movie, but somehow ended up making a game instead.

This just might be the best game of the decade...

-Tarfful, who thinks Sep. 16th can't come fast enough!

Thanks, Tarfful, but that's not new to me. This trailer sure makes the game look even more promissing! :cry_happy: It really does look like a movie; and with the great cinematography and all, it makes you think if the animated movie that's coming in August shouldn't rather look more like this. :look:

And yes, September sure can't come fast enough  even though I will probably not get it at that time since I'll be totally broke from buying CW sets. :cry_sad:

The developers said this was the next chapter, and it looks like the story is going to be on par with the various effects engines and gameplay. I wish it was being made for PC, but it should look great on the PS3.

Nice to hear James Earl Jones voicing Vader in this game; most SW games use other voice actors to approximate the voices of main characters from the movies.

Just finished playing through the demo (a 1.4gb download!). In a word: epic. The gameplay is stunning, and you can pretty much chuck anything at anything else and watch the fireworks. For example, two TIE Fighters were closing in on me so I picked up a crate, flung it into the air and took out one. The ensuing explosion took out the other. A third came at me, so I bent a piece of steel structure outwards, and it flew into it.

The demo itself put you on an Imperial Star Destroyer that is under attack by General Rahm Kota, a Jedi. After a brief opening cut-scene which is nothing we haven't seen in trailers (apart from when Vader gives you the mission), we are shown the Rogue Shadow landing in the hangar of said ISD. Then you move through the ISD, taking out Kota's men and Stormtroopers alike. The demo ends when you destroy an AT-ST by slicing it in half. Down the middle.

Sadly, we never get to meet Kota, but that can be forgiven when the gameplay is so frakkin' awesome. It all just feels so right; the lightsaber fighting, the force powers. The controls are slightly fiddly at first, but you get the hang of them quickly. Oh, and the graphics and sound are brilliant as usual. Also, we are shown a new trailer at the end of the demo.

Demo score: 10/10

I spent some quality time yesterday watching all the videos and trailers and behind the scenes things on the TFU website. Which makes me even more saddened that it won't be released on PC, as I don't own any consoles.

I also think it's cool how they let you play as Vader in the beginning. That sounds like a lot of fun.

And T.K., that sounds amazing. :cry_happy: Truly amazing. I loved watching the video about how they got Euphoria, Havok and DMM to all work together, that was amazing. This game is just amazing. I think I'm addicted to something I haven't even tried yet...
